No you don't have to have endorsements at TMC. A hazmat endorsement is the only one that you would possibly use with them, but they don't haul much hazmat material. Check my videos below where I'm hauling TMC hazmat.

Just FYI I got red tagged in iowa for using non TMC equipment with that exact winch a few months ago. I still use it all the time but just heads up in iowa brother

That's an odd thing for them to have a problem with. A stake pocket winch is a solid piece of equipment. 🤔
