His 'Bless you, Grandpa' made me unexpectedly emotional enough to come to tears-- to see others who, like me, have a love & passion & appreciation for their history, makes me so incredibly moved, happy, & emotional, all at the same time!!
It's amazing to think the only thing that separates us is time. It is just one of those moments in life, where time seems to stand still, while we take it all in.

Nope this is a BS theory. Firstly you will NOT have 134,217,728 26xgreat grandparents because many of them will be represented multiple times over. Secondly, Bastards were very rare and nobility ALWAYS married in their own caste & unless you can't prove a line it is worthless anyways.
It's not only this saint. Edward's II mother was a sister to king Alfonso X of Castille and Leon. His father, Fernando III of Castille and Leon, was a cousin to Louis IX and was sanctified too. His body is incorrupt and kept in Seville, people pray alongside it when it is in display.
Many can say they have noble blood but few can claim royal lineage. Kudos to you Danny boy! Wait a minute I just insulted a royal ... "off with my head".
Louis IX has probably millions of living descendants, all of whom share none or next to none of his DNA. It's not that they aren't descendants--they are--but his DNA has been sliced and diced so thin by all the generations in between that the odds they got any of it are very, very low.
