- the Grubs Fire near Oroville CA today with CalFire crew activities and bulldozer work and a fire helicopter pulling water from Lake Oroville for the Thompson fire in Oroville, Butte County California.
great footage! I went up there hoping for some tanker footage but all the fixed wing aircraft were released right as I got there.

@@cphilpot I'm really curious, are you by any chance related to Wayne Philpott, locomotive engineer at Santa Fe? I worked with him in the 70s, I really liked him.
@@Brother_D_therail Nope, but I am certain I would have liked him if he was an engineer on Santa Fe. No known connection.
@@cphilpot Just a strange coincidence I guess! I retired 10 years ago from BNSF. Conductor, and half a dozen other titles over the years, lol.
