    I love it already cuz im sure there will be a 2E in good colorways. Either that or an update to the Saucony Tempus which now only has a dull gray in 2E. Boohoo

      Yep 2E is an option on this one I believe.

    I’ll burn another pair of Arahi before then and then try the Vongo. It looks awesome.

    November 2023? That’s 2 years from the Vongo v5.

    Is there no winter or water repellent version ?
    If the release date is correct, is any version of these features expected for the V5?

    I have already bought 3 Vongo 5s. How many more V5s do I have to buy until the V6 is released? November 2023 in the USA, so in Spain they will not be available until at least 2024! What a disappointment!

    I like that shoe companies are starting to rethink stability beyond hard posts and extremely rigid shoes!

    • @DSBSB
      @DSBSB Год назад +1

      I dislike that most companies have dropped medial posts, but haven't come up with anything to replace it.
      Guiderails don't work, when the problem is not the foot moving inside the shoe, but the shoe compressing more on one side.
      Guiderails on a shoe without a medial post, is like fitting bucket seats in a car and expecting that to fix the fact that the suspension is too soft on one side.
      I can't see how this is going to help that either, but hope to be proven wrong.

    • @liltimmy93
      @liltimmy93 Год назад

      @@DSBSB Exactly! Guiderails are completely useless, when the sole just compresses more on the inside...

    • @q20a08
      @q20a08 Год назад

      Note that the foam underneath the 'film' line is firmer than the foam above that line. Then watch the contour of that line when they briefly show the medial side. So, it's also got something resembling traditional medial support. Not extremely rigid, or hard, but the guys worried about no medial support whatsoever, might be somewhat soothed by this. Just never emphasize such things when the 'new approach' marketing guys are around.

    No more Fresh Foam X in Vongo?

    • @q20a08
      @q20a08 Год назад

      Still in there. The 'Running Warehouse' review gets into a few more midsole details.

    • @bhardwaj3319
      @bhardwaj3319 Год назад

      @@q20a08 Thanx for info! Already have V5 with fresh foam X only and it works so well in terms of stability even I've severe overpronation. So don't know why they used EVA in this. I'll rather try Kayano 30 next.

    • @q20a08
      @q20a08 Год назад +1

      @@bhardwaj3319 Yes, Kayano 30 changed quite a bit, interesting new 'wide platform'. I'll be interested in seeing how the 2 revised shoes compete against each other, going forward. Seems like the V6 still wants to provide soft Fresh FoamX in the upper part of the midsole, but then they want a full-coverage, firmer "stability layer" below (and including) that film line (the line that looks like a plate). Will be interesting to see how all of that feels on the feet. They claim to be all excited about how this new stability approach will be the NB future. I think they were also worried that V5 resembled a 'traditional' posted shoe too much, but I'm sure many people don't care about that.

    • @bhardwaj3319

      @@q20a08 Along with Kayano 30, another option for max cushioned stability shoe is Puma Foreverrun.

  • @seanwu1647

    A plastic plate in a stability shoe? It couldn't be more horrible.

    • @AlexFilitti
      @AlexFilitti  Год назад +4

      I don't think this is the case here. It's some unblown denser EVA strategically placed (not the official info, just my understanding)

    • @q20a08
      @q20a08 Год назад

      Yeah, like Alex said, it's not any kind of real plate. But, the fact that they make it resemble one so much from the exterior, interests me for a slightly different, skeptical reason. The V5 midsole resembled a more "traditional" posted stability shoe. The midsole of the V6 looks like something more advanced, and modern. Is that 'film' line actually doing much of anything advanced and modern ? Or is it mostly aimed at planting "advanced & modern midsole" into the consumers mind, borrowing prestige from it's plated appearance.
