Osunshine87 I pulled out a few of the crochet hair and tugged on my real hair carefully for some slack. Then I put them back in and put the hair up into a comfortable position, and added grease if needed. A part of it was the hair was heavy and creating some serious tension
I removed some of the braids in different spots all over and rubbed my scalp with grease and peppermint oil, and the cooling sensation helped a lot too. I was just about ready to take the whole style down 😂. Thanks a bunch for the tips!😊

Love the tutorial, I been wanting to do the crochet box braids for awhile. I have very fine hair so doing singles would put to much strain on my hair and cause it to be sore and break off. So this was perfect so I can have them look as natural as possible. I did mine and love it, and have gotten so many compliments. Some people cant believe their not singles until I show them the middle of my head 😅

We ended up using the twist braids she loves them and they been in for two months I'm taking them down this weekend for Halloween but easy to manage just slick the edges and you good

Karla Burns i agree thats was my only problem my daughter has very long hair so after time the braids would come loose in the back even though I had them connected the pattern is key depends on your head shape and the hair length we used like three different ones before we found one that works...
This is the best pattern! Used this in the last. Taking my current crochet out and re-braiding using this pattern. Mine are too bulky because I used a different method. Should of stayed true to this genius pattern!
