This made me feel better lol. Grandma passed today and I was upset for a minute, but idk, doing hair makes me happy and learning new techniques. Thank you
As a mom of a mix chic, I first want to say this is amazing!!!! We live in a super small town and struggle with getting her hair done. I personally don't do much with my hair so I have had to learn a lot to take care of hers. She has gotten box braids the past few months but its been a struggle. Someone at work suggested crochet. So I have been looking for a simple directional video for someone with NO experience. This is great, easy to understand, slow enough to comprehend, close enough to see. Thank you so much.
This is soo clever....and I love Beauty Can braid...best thing is you can do yourself..save hundreds and reuse the braids...and will look great each time...
I've never had box braids and always wanted to, but I was afraid of how tight the braids would have to be. This seems super easy though and it doesn't look like it's pulling on your hair that much, now I really want to try it!
PLEASE DO AN UPDATED CROCHET TWIST VIDEO! also thank you for being so diligent and thorough with all of these vids they help so much and it's no wonder you and your channel gets so much praise for them!
This is so helpful.I started doing my own hair and my twists are tiny but my cornrows needed to be smaller so I need to redo it.This would look a lot better than the job I just did.Thank you
I watched this a year ago and loved it then and so glad I watching it again cuz I'm going to be doing my first time ever box braids and this is so much help to me. Wish me luck I pray that they come out as fantastic as yours did. Thanks so much young sweetie.
@@ShadowIncognita ,Hey I have 2 people in my family that I help take care of so I still haven't got around to doing my hair but let me tell you I have a supply of hair and all different colors and now I just have to take the time for myself and then decide what color I want to do but I'm sure it will come out great.
You are a true innovator Jazz. I swore off braids before I came across your videos because: 1. I am lazy and 2. I'm tenderheaded as hell. This method right here is LIFE ALTERING. I will be doing this with the quickness👌💁
I love these. They look great!! Okay, I have longer hair. I will try the weaving in and out, because it would take forever! 😬 a lot cheaper than paying the 🤑 braiding cost. Ppl are getting crazy with prices.
Precious Legit it's just based on your preference, if you want inch by inch or not. After you got that first section you can feel to know if you've parted the others too big/small. If your hair is thinner to some sides you're just going to have to look on the size of the box/triangle etc and you can always use a mirror to check the places you can't see
Taiwo Obanikoro my sister does hair so I had her watch this video and she parted and braided my hair for me. I'm gonna do the crochet seperately myself because I can't part for anything 😂
Yes it looks so easy to put on its really beautiful but i was wondering how do you take it out afterwards? Please next video can you say? And also what about some one who has thin hair what can you use to make it hold for some time ?
I used her method but I have thick hair so I would say use gel or a foam to keep your hair down and wrap it up at night. I'm about to take mine out now.
This is awesome! I was wondering though..what would you say is the difference between this method and the very first one you did? Like does it last longer or put less stress on the hair? Thanks for sharing!
I do the rubber band method cuz I have thick 4c hair and refuse to straighten. It makes it easier to grip. I actually did ur thick faux goddess locs with the rubber band method, except I used Havana twists that were pretwistsed and it helped my locs come out realistic and flexible because of the lightness of the twists.
This made me feel better lol. Grandma passed today and I was upset for a minute, but idk, doing hair makes me happy and learning new techniques. Thank you

You are a true innovator Jazz. I swore off braids before I came across your videos because: 1. I am lazy and 2. I'm tenderheaded as hell. This method right here is LIFE ALTERING. I will be doing this with the quickness👌💁

Beauty can braid is the best by far!!! Love the color on you
I love these. They look great!! Okay, I have longer hair. I will try the weaving in and out, because it would take forever! 😬 a lot cheaper than paying the 🤑 braiding cost. Ppl are getting crazy with prices.
Can you do a video of you parting your hair lol.. weird I know but im a legit beginner. How do you know what size to part the hair
Precious Legit it's just based on your preference, if you want inch by inch or not. After you got that first section you can feel to know if you've parted the others too big/small. If your hair is thinner to some sides you're just going to have to look on the size of the box/triangle etc and you can always use a mirror to check the places you can't see
it depends on what you want
I got my sister to do it lol
did she get it?
Taiwo Obanikoro my sister does hair so I had her watch this video and she parted and braided my hair for me. I'm gonna do the crochet seperately myself because I can't part for anything 😂
Ur nails are life 😙
OMG! My hair is mid back. I want to do this but if looks like a lot of work for long hair.
Yeah that's my main issue too. Still gonna try it tho😂😩
Maybe do cornrows at the back / middle and individual braids round the perimeter
I appreciate you’re method and teaching skills. I struggle with crochet but the ways you showed me helped so much thanks god bless queen.
Immediate thumbs up just for the intro song alone. I love that album. If anybody reads this look up "Urban Flora"
Entire song is a bop!!
Entire ALBUM**
I live by this method of protective styling because of you! You literally changed my life lol
I cried doing this cuz I could get it right, but after a while I got it, so in the long run it works!!!
This seems more tedious if you have more hair tho. Interesting to watch still.
@LoveNot Hate mko
HELL YEAH Imma keep lookin
@LoveNot Hate Agree
I've gotten my hair done like this and I was looking to do it on my own and have watched SO many videos. Yours is the only one that I like Haha
This is PERFECT! Definitely doing this for my 10yr old daughter.
Yes it looks so easy to put on its really beautiful but i was wondering how do you take it out afterwards? Please next video can you say? And also what about some one who has thin hair what can you use to make it hold for some time ?

Glad I seen this thank you first time doing crochet now I can do my mama’s hair in no time.
Wonderful!
This is the first time I’ve seen it done the first way and I’m so excited because I can actually do that lol
You do such a good job on instructions....you do it in a way that makes me feel my very untalented arthritic hands can do it too ... Thanks
Yes, you have done it again 💖💖
Thank you for this technique, life saver!
This looks super simple. Definitely will be trying t
My life is forever changed
black woman ingenuity is a-freaking-mazing
Brilliant, Very *Smart* technique..........
I love this.. answered some questions
I did my hair like that today and it took me a while to get it. But it was done. My husband like also. That you for the up day.
BklynGirl72 how are they holding up. I'm making a crochet faux braided wig. My hair isn't long enough to do a weave or braids.
Omg you are so pretty!! And that wedding ring is huge!!!!
To take the stress away from you doing your hair weekly maybe you could use family or friends on camera. I love your work btw😍. New subby!!!!
Thanks Jazz .... this was nice and eazy
This video is a AMAZING! Thank you of posting it!
You are teaching me so much! Thanks Sis!
100k baby! 🎉🎉🎉

Can you do this with a twa? Also, how do you take these out? They look so good and look like they save so much time!
You right on time! Look at God! I was wondering how could I crochet my box braids to look natural. Thanks so much!!
This is awesome! I was wondering though..what would you say is the difference between this method and the very first one you did? Like does it last longer or put less stress on the hair? Thanks for sharing!
no more hair saloons you just saved me gal.
Wow, you make it look super easy
I know this video is like 3 years old now but you can use a beader thing like they use to put beads on the end of braids to pull yout hair through
Wow this looks so easy I’m definitely trying this
You are The Bomb! Love your Tutorials
Can't wait for my TWA to grow out so I can try this 😍😍😍

Omg I love this video. Very helpful!
I ❤❤❤❤❤❤ how y'all both have given one another proper credit!!! No need to be a hater when sharing similar gifts and talents. 🤗
Would the 2nd method work on waist length hair? Where can I find different length crochet needles? Sorry, I'm super new to this lol.
Got my braids in the mail yesterday from beautycanbraid, can't wait to try this....wish me luck 😁
Love it 🥰
You.explained this so well👏🏼👏🏼
Hey there. Have you ever used the individual crochet method with Mali Locs? If so,does it work well?
Really clever!
You always stay teaching me new techniques😍
Thx Jazz, You're AWESOME Sis!
I do the rubber band method cuz I have thick 4c hair and refuse to straighten. It makes it easier to grip. I actually did ur thick faux goddess locs with the rubber band method, except I used Havana twists that were pretwistsed and it helped my locs come out

Did you have any vast breakage with the rubber band method?
Great technique
If I purchased the hair (not already braided), can I just braid the weave and still do this method?
I love this technique I will definitely use it.
Soooo helpful & convenient
Can you try short goddess box braids with the curly hair in it. But maybe like shoulder length?
