  • Finally located the Yachts Fire Suppression Box it was an easy but hard job! It took 10+ hours after tearing the boat apart literally to find it! Crazy sometimes how something that seems easy becomes so frustrating!

    Trying to get information and parts from a European company is difficult .... especially when you consider the time difference! We see this often in our business and it doesn't make it any easier. This is the beginning The Boat Failed the Fire Suppression and Insurance requires it 😮 ruclips.net/video/dW40a0YgyVw/видео.html

      If you think communicating with a factory in England is an experience, try the Italians. And they also do a better job at hiding critical components and putting them where there is no access for a human.

      @@paulmesser7848 Yes we have dealt with many! Yes agree completely about the hidden components. Thanks for watching and sharing Paul!

      Exhausting …. But even boat builder didn’t know where it was …. Matt stayed focused to help the owner! 😂

    Billable hours for looking? This video alone was enough for me to forget about my future working in the marine industry. Yikes!

    • @WillFixThat
      @WillFixThat  Год назад +1

      Yes these are all billable hours … this video is proof of the time spent! 😊 Don’t let this scary you out of the industry … but let it make you aware of what can happen! In this instance we had to find this box and it all started when it failed for insurance purposes. I put how it all began in my comment ruclips.net/video/dW40a0YgyVw/видео.html (it’s a prior video from about 2 weeks ago)

    A guy at our dock after having too many cocktails filled his waste tank with diesel at the fuel dock then proceeded to the pump out station to extract the fuel. Needless to say the dock master was not thrilled and I would bet that boat had a diesel smell.

      We just had a customer and captain fill the fresh water tank with gas! Luckily our boat doesn’t have gas smell… right now! I’m here pumping it out again.

    On the fuel smell, look at the vent lines that go to the outside for a hole worn in the vent hoses.

    • @WillFixThat
      @WillFixThat  Год назад

      You rock … 😝 all the hoses are original to the boat so far it’s unknown if we can change them! Due to routing! 🥴

      You took the words right out of my mouth😅

    • @patdghop
      @patdghop Год назад +1

      If you can remove the vent from the tank you can then do a pressure test on the vent hose

    • @WillFixThat
      @WillFixThat  Год назад +1

      Maybe easiest thing to do is hook up cheap hose to tank vents and run to back deck! Boat is full of fuel. 🧐

    • @roypoe1865
      @roypoe1865 Год назад

      @Will Fix That that's the best way to troubleshoot it! Put some fans in the boat, open is up clear out the fumes, with the cheep vent line run outside the boat. After 48 hours, close the boat up and see if the fumes come back.

    Viking is just the distributor of Princess for the USA, they do not own it. At some point they were marketed as Viking Sport Cruisers, though this has changed since a decade or more, I think since 2012.

    Just like when they build a house, boat builders as well should always leave the schematics for the electrical and the plumbing.

    • @WillFixThat
      @WillFixThat  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes they should but they don’t and most owners aren’t knowledgeable like that….

  • @stephenscott963
    @stephenscott963 Год назад

    Why wouldn’t manufacturer show in schematics where it is, or was it a add on? Keep up the great videos!

    Use a wire identifier, trace the wiring to it.
