- My Brother My Brother and Me: Episode 613 - My Bee, My Bee, and Man
The brothers ask the wizard (wikihow) “how to build a mind palace” and in the process, find out justin’s deep dark secret… he has a mind palace, and it is entirely dedicated to remembering all of shakespeare’s works. Nerd.
Tangents include an ill-advised ghost story about a listener, the mentalist, Sully, and travis’ short-lived career as a Jimmy John’s sandwich sculptor.
I don't own any of the media in this video! I just edited it together for funsies.
trans rights!!

RIP Griffins funny bit he thought of when seeing this wikihow. We will never know it
People who haven't used this technique think it's just something characters do on TV, and think you're lying when you try to explain just how well it works (for some people).
Back in the day, one of my professors was doing an experiment where you stared at a screen and it would flash individual words up for a brief instant, then gave you an entry form to type in as many of the words as you could remember. I think it flashed like 60 words up in 1 minute, 1 second for each word? Something like that. Anyway, that professor had mentioned mind palaces (technically "the method of loci") in class earlier in the semester and I was the kind of dork who actually tried it out as a result, so as the words flashed I walked through mine tossing the objects listed down on the ground along the way. Apparently my results were enough of an outlier that they were indicative of malingering/cheating, so I had to explain to my professor what happened in order to still get the extra credit for participation.
In conclusion: Use mind palaces, people. They work (for some people).
God I envy people who can do shit like this. I have aphantasia so there’s just a yawning void where my mind palace could be
I agree and it can apply to almost anything. For example one night my Sister and I were talking about how some folks don't have an inner monolog to their thoughts. Like for me there's literally a voice in my head and it can be adjusted to sound like almost anything I want to, like when I'm reading. Going further, there are some folks without any imagination, like they literally cannot imagine things in their mind. On the flip side I explained to my Sister I can actually imagine so strong that it's *almost* like projecting it on reality, it's there but it isn't and she accused me of lying to her, lmfao.
Maybe that's what makes me so good with firearms and stuff, I will literally try to imagine the projection of the shot with a line.
Persona 5 but it's the McElboys and their comedic associates (Dr. Sydnee McElroy MD, Alexander Hamilton, etc)
“I saw him get a shuttle back down to Earth! I don’t care about a plane!” underrated joke 😭
ETA: “I’m un-Sullied!” dhskkdjs
I loved when Griffin was deflated because it’s not something to make fun of. (Also, The Mentalist is AWESOME.)
well... it IS still something to make fun of, tbh
A "memory palace" isn't that weird of an idea honestly. I recall reading some paranormal fiction books last year where they used a similar concept. And if I'm reading and hearing about it from multiple sources there's gotta be people doing it.
"the gym" you
