Evolutionz Lmn There are a bunch of different types of rounds for them, but the most common are HEAT (High explosive anti tank) rounds, which is basically designed to create a jet of molten hot metal that pierces the armor and fragments inside a vehicle, wounding or killing whoever is behind it. Damage is all relative -- it might not look like much on that car, but I promise you don't want to be behind one as it goes off -- trust me, one almost got me!
No one in this comment section seems to know the difference between a HEAT round and an HE round. HE standing for high explosive, meaning it will explode while HEAT, as was said in the video, stands for high explosive anti tank, a HEAT round doesn't really explode, it’s more designed to burn holes in tank armor.
Yeah, also puts a hole in the armor, might detonate rounds inside the tank. It's more of a directed explosion, all of the force directed into the target.
HEAT still explodes. The shaped liner doesn't keep the blast wave from propagating radially, it just focuses the blast from the inverted conical portion of the charge into the liner, turning it into a penetrator that is driven into the armor by the pressure of the blast (the temperature doesn't get high enough to melt the armor). Keep in mind HEAT is still a High Explosive charge, hence its designation.
There is a phenomenal one in a million shot which demonstrates the shaped charge and they barely acknowledge it at 5:20 where the windshield is hit lengthwise and the inverted cone can be seen with the molten glass!
It always amazes me that people cannot tell the difference between Scottish, English Australian and South African accents. I have no trouble distinguishing the difference between an American and a Canadian even though they are closer than an Australian and a South African accents.

Cam Staubus The problem wasn't the distance, the problem was the accuracy of the rounds. They are pretty old but they're still fun to shoot. Besides, the range officers wouldn't let us shoot any closer.
When explaining the difference between the RPG-2/B40 rocket and the RPG-7 rocket there was inarticulate babble about venturis (rocket nozzles) without explaining why this was important. Basically, the RPG-7 rocket is 2-stage. The lighter end piece is an initial booster that fires and gets the rocket out of the launcher. It is spent before the rocket leaves the tube (BAOL or "Burn All On Launch") so that the operator doesn't get hot exhaust in the face. At a safe distance the second stage ignites and shoots out those venturis (little rocket nozzles) boosting it towards the target. This results in a kind of unusual flight profile where the rocket initially goes straight out, then the second booster propels it in a faster, higher arc. Most likely this is why they kept getting high shots. They did not have the optical sight mounted, and this sight compensates much better for this arc leading to better accuracy.
Some 1st generation launchers from ww2 have huge blast shield to protect the operator from the rocket exhaust, because they do not have a 2 stage design.
I was taught that RPG has a 4.5 second delay prior to exploding so one can shoot through things like fences without it exploding. The fins of RPG are designed to turn into the wind!!

***** Does not the Monroe effect rely on the impetus energy of the projectile to turn the copper cavity casing into the jet stream? High Explosive would imply that the damage done to the tank would be inflicted by the concussive force of the explosive, when in fact the melted copper and super-heated air are what kill the crew. Most tanks taken out by RPG are still quite operable, they just don't have any living crew capable of doing so left inside. Something like a bunker-buster shell is more along the lines of HI-EX.
Gurman Thandi The E does stand for Explosive, I was mistaken as to the acronym, but the point I made is still valid. Also, both HEAT and Sabot rounds are what are classified as Kinetic Energy(KE) Penetrators. The difference being that the Sabot gets the KE from the initial launch, while the HEAT uses a shaped charge at point of impact, making it both lighter and more versatile.
Luvcello21 High Explosive is just a common name for all explosive materials which explode at very high speeds like TNT, C-4, PETN. Opposite to Low Explosives like gunpowder, nitrocellulose or ANFO. In artillery HE simply means the round contains HE as its component. Like in HEF-FS, HEI, HESH, HEAT and so on.

HEAT is for armor piercing, to puncture holes in the armor of a tank, not for cars. That's... a waste of a HEAT round. Normal HE would've done much more.
+Wiskerdoodle No, those rockets are designed for tank armor penetration, not light vehicles. HE is designed for that. I believe they stand for High Explosive Anti Tank and just plain High Explosive. Obviously a Toyota isn't a tank, and has no armor, so it's a complete waste.
+Wiskerdoodle Something tells me you don't know how the concept of HEAT munitions works. Here's a hint: There is no explosive charge removed, all of the pressure goes in one direction instead of every direction

The Power of RPGS are heavily exageratted in Movies and video games. As you can see here they do not actually turn into a Fireball when they explode. They are designed to focus a explosion into one point to create a Supersonic jet that will melt steel armor instantly and spread Molten metal around the interior of a tank which will land on the ammunition and blow it up.
@@lilbig948 Even if there was I'm still wrong lol. I made this comment before I was aware there are actually special anti personnel High explosive Rockets for the RPG-7.
The rockets in gta are HE, which means high explosive, the ones in this video are HEAT. They don't explode, but upon impact, they shoot a jet of molten metal through the target.
I knew what was coming in that last shot. The backblast from the RPG7 at least can be lethal up to 25 feet behind. Not sure about the b40 but still. Seen videos from the middle east of folks being scalped by kneeling behind the grenadier.
Awesome video, looked like a load of fun! Maybe i missed it,but how much does an rpg round cost?I never thought of that. And the guy with the umbrella at the shooting range was too funny!
I agree. the rpg was designed to penetrate armor more than generate a full out explosion. It is a pack of c-4 behind a copper cone. the explosive liquefies the cone and it is accelerated from point of impact in a jet stream that is near to being in a state of plasma. It punches a hole and 'splashes' from the other side turning the piercing jet into a shotgun of beads of molten high velocity metal.
They don't explode as such. They form a cone and channel a flaming projectile into the target via a hole melted into the side, effectively burning the operators of the vehicle alive. War is hell...
Naw, they just ignite the booster when you click it. Once they acceleate with enough g-force to ignite the grenade itself, they explode. Or they self-destruct after they travel about 1km. The self-destruct is ignited once the rocket leaves the cartridge. But you don't have to worry if you misfire and the rocket's still inside the cartridge. JUST DON'T THROW THE RPG AWAY AND RUN LIKE A PUSSY. YOU WILL STILL EXPLODE INTO PIECES. hold it. calm down and replace the grenade.

RPGs are a mixed bag. Good ones that have been decently stored are very accurate within their respective effective ranges, in the hands of a trained operator. These guys are definitely not trained operators. Contrary to popular belief, the round typically doesn't track straight and in order to be accurate, one must be familiar with how the variants will fly.

So a good conclusion is that gta v rpgs are way to powerful and overrated?
The rockets in gta are HE, which means high explosive, the ones in this video are HEAT. They don't explode, but upon impact, they shoot a jet of molten metal through the target.
Oh ok
👍
Matěj Předota HEAT still exploded as it is filled with high explosive shaped into a cone that has a lining of copper
Unbox Zd same like fortnite rpgs can break down houses but irl MEH
Guys, this is a car that someone could use.
Nevermind!! It was so awesome thank you, made my day.
I knew what was coming in that last shot. The backblast from the RPG7 at least can be lethal up to 25 feet behind. Not sure about the b40 but still. Seen videos from the middle east of folks being scalped by kneeling behind the grenadier.
“We were going to shoot a couple hippos” lmao
Awesome video, looked like a load of fun! Maybe i missed it,but how much does an rpg round cost?I never thought of that. And the guy with the umbrella at the shooting range was too funny!
I’ll answer your comment even if the odds of you still being Alive still is questionable. They said 300 bucks a shot. 👍🏻
2:50 what kind of animals where those?!? Anyone?
Men
No dude with an ICP tattoo should be allowed access to RPGs LOL
and that's the only way to kill a Toyota
Unless the brakes fail.
+Robert Smith Throttle sticks more than the brake goes out. which is actually much worse lmao
hfhguhu
I had a camry that just would not die, no matter how bad I treated that thing. I don't think I put oil in it for about 3 years.
me la
Legend has it the Toyota sent the rocket to space, and the friction started the fire. The Toyota was like new after the fire was extinguished
I agree. the rpg was designed to penetrate armor more than generate a full out explosion.
BEST PART OF THE VIDEO IS WHEN THE TWO GUYS COME RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND
can those misfired rockets still explode?
They don't explode as such. They form a cone and channel a flaming projectile into the target via a hole melted into the side, effectively burning the operators of the vehicle alive. War is hell...
BakaHULK
That didn't answer his question at all.
8literbeater
Yes Taliban use misfired RPGs for IED's all the time...
YOU WILL STILL EXPLODE INTO PIECES. hold it. calm down and replace the grenade.
the rockets exploded at the end
That man's been to Nashville. I've got the same Johnny Cash shirt
That is correct, i bought it on music row.

WH250398
What "Kaah" are you talking about? He said "car".
pipoper101
Just joking, it sounds like "kaah" to me
WH250398 It's the black stone in the city of Macca that the Muslims idolize/worship.
***** Слишком плотно затрублил мене.
***** "amerifag" is one of the stupidest terms I've ever heard, hating someone because of were they live makes less sense than racism.
The most surprising thing about this video was the fact that they had an Australian accent
cant kill a toyota
because it's cool car :D
RPGN is there to go through the armor on armored wagon and hit the engine. = D
Can kill the people inside of it doe
Marc Seim are you talking about the ford explorer or the van?
I always heard they had good safety ratings
I'll give these Aussies one thing, they know how to have fun!!!
lmao the "woah" at 3:05 sounds exactly like barney from the simpsons
True
You know for a fact that all these lads hit the local red light district the same night
Rpg vs insurgent
tman21764 😂😂😂
tman21764 kkkkkkkkkk
tman21764 Omfg ur a genius
Those bellies could absorb any of those rockets easily!
0:28 TF2 Soldier's Rocket Launcher!
Dude, its scary handling a explosive bullet in your hand.
It does not matter the camera, the most important is the photographer, I hope he is fine
I went there same range i shot a M16 A1 and a full auto AK47 and RPG 7 nice experience and got to visit cool places there in Cambodia !!

Fanandi Aullia Haaaaaaa, stupid
Left over soviet equipment. Surprised it managed to score a hit at all.
if you have ever used soviet surplus weaponry you would know that it would with ease hit that car
Espen Andre Well, I've just witnessed 2 people.
800lb Gorilla exactly Russian soldiers are perfectly trained for this
WinnipegosisTrail You're funny.
you guys are awesome. Thumbs up. Hello from Texas USA.
Very nice. It was worth every cent of YOUR money. :) Thinks for sharing. Fun video.
Totally thought the vin diesel with the shades is gonna drive the toyota and try to out run the rpg rocket.
Bruh its spost to be burning and on fire
GTA LIED TO NE
LOL
GTA is wrong
GTA is right, it's just a different type of rocket in the video
BoomPew GTA don't use non-explosive rockets they use high explosive.
Video used HEAT round. They should try HE round
In GTA it is pretty clear that they are using a HEAT round, which would not explode on cars
SandmanCam yes we know now it's not like it hasn't been said twice
Expectations...were...not met.
then check out RPG vs Toyota take 2 you wont be disappointed.
steveleeilikeguns THANKS! Much better!

Congrats on 70.000
Thanks mate, I didn't notice until I read your comment. I really should put more time into youtube but I also have a life. Hope to get time in the near future.
I don't have much time to make videos and I understand what you are saying
