    “He’s calm in the pocket”- Jayden Daniels bailed on clean pockets more than any other draftable QB. Dan also made the case for Zach Wilson as the number 1 overall lol

    I like Dan. He knows more than me. That said … Caleb Williams is definitively not the same running threat as Justin Fields. Maybe a better thrower … but no where near the same athlete. And I watched a ton of Caleb.

    Nobody was looking for Mahomes when he was drafted. It was the next Brady or the next Manning or whoever. And he is smart and talented, but he is his own guy. If you're looking for the next Mahomes, you're missing the next fill in the blank we'll be talking about 5 years from now.

  • @GiuseppeJoseph

    If I were Chicago , I would trade back to pick 2 or 3, depending which quarterback they really think is the best of the 3 , and who they think Washington really wants. Get some extra picks and possibly get your QB at the same time.

    Dan was on 6 teams in 12 years or so in the NFL as a QB. A total of 512 pass attempts and almost a 50% TD-INT ratio, with his infamous running out of the back of the end zone for a safety without realizing it. This is the expert on QB play? It's like talking to me about life as a millionaire!

    • @Drewswaggy
      @Drewswaggy 8 месяцев назад

      I wouldn’t say expert. But explaining NFL football to the general audience in a way that anybody can understand is the skill he gets paid on. It’s entertainment, so always remember, it’s not what you’re saying, but how you’re saying it

    Dan and all these ESPN commentators should stop doing ESPN and the SEC bidding by stating that the LSU quarterback should go 1st in the draft over the USC quarterback. The lies just to keep a job. And I am a LSU alumnae and fan but I can be truthful unlike ESPN and their cohorts.

  • @cynthiasmith9336
    @cynthiasmith9336 8 месяцев назад +3

    This is such wasted conversation to me. Nobody really knows how it’ll translate to the NFL and the team they go to can be a huge detriment to their talent. And Trevor Lawrence is a work in progress and he was supposed to be generational.

  • @RobbyD7116
    @RobbyD7116 8 месяцев назад

    I don’t understand why once again, it’s ok for Caleb to have an off year because of lack of talent around him and a week o line. But JF has those same issues at Chicago, obviously the exception is DJM, but he needs to be replaced and traded and reset the QB clock. BS, trade down a couple of times, flood JF with young talent and free agent signings and Bear down!

      It's cool, everyone has "that gut feeling" when they haven't watched all his games. However, it's important to recognize where that feeling actually comes from. His personality is different. It's very unrelatable, which is hatable in social media today. Fortunately, GMs and front office staff don't care about it, and there is a concensus in a relatively deep QB class. Personally, I'm a massive CFB fan, and Caleb has the highest floor since Andrew Luck. This is based on nothing more than game tape.

      The weird thing is that he hasn't gotten worse. Caleb has thrown for 14 interceptions in three years. For the volume he's handed due to game script (always playing from behind), that's an unprecedented number considering how many of those attempts are running away from defensive linemen and his average depth of target.

    Caleb has really bad signs that he can’t be a NFL QB.
    He collapsed mentally, badly.
    ND was bad then he went into the tank for six games. He can’t read defenses, he can’t throw on time and he can NOT lead.
    Dude is going to be a bust. There hasn’t been a good OU or USC QB in decades.
