One thing about this game that just makes it so unsettling to me is the simple fact that it’s an active development. I really only know about one person who documents their findings, and even then he still hasn’t seen everything. There are things like the trees, moving and other weird, random events that have little to no documented footage on the entire Internet. And the fact that it’s this unknown is just unsettling, because who knows what else is hiding here.
@connorhome327 Voices of the Void. It's complex and obscure. It takes a lot of determination to learn the basics if you want to get the most out of the game. It's like Signal Simulator, but more difficult and with survival mechanics(thirst, hunger, health...).
the fact, that you catching that tree move got an audible gasp out of me, is exactly why this game is so good This is the digital equivalent of someone providing definitive proof for bigfoot Also kinda scratches that same itch, that GTA San Andreas myths did when i was a kid
yeah, that's how it feels, that's why this game is so unique, but unfortunately it's also what makes a lot of people not want to play it, the fact that most stuff is hidden from the player instead of on their face is the special seasoning this game has that not everyone likes
The weird pixel artifacting on the tree from the camera made the one that move seem like it was breathing, like there were mouths on the trunk. Neat stuff!
The randomly looking around, not getting any sleep until seeing something- this could be sold as a character bit I actually popped off when it was confirmed though
like i said in a similar video, i really feel like this phenomenon occurs to make the player appear crazed. there’s no way to get definite proof that the trees are moving, as even if you have a camera out taking photos of the monitor or even if you’re straight up seeing the trees move with your very own eyes, all the camera captures is a still image.
You voice kel PERFECTLY, i can 100% imagine this being the canonical kel, just going insane from the shit he's seen all this time. Fucking perfect, keep this up.
@@porovos-It definitely is a horror game, though it is more goofy and the core gameplay loop isn't even about the horror. The horror and creep factor comes indirectly from the mundane daily tasks that force you to explore your surroundings.
I've seen on one of my tower cameras actually capturing a 100% tree moving through the river, no wonder those bastards can move so quickly, they get the best spots for water!
There are also deer that come up as radar pings. I witnessed one near the green box that disappeared when I looked at it, then another time I sent omega kerfus to investigate and actually found it and it was a deer.
The only other videos of this game ive watched have been from charborg and its crazy seeing the base be clean and not covered in stains from the meatball and random debris
Because of this, I became more paranoid than ever before. Once, I tried to catch one of these on camera, but every attempt gave me nothing. I knew that the tree couldn't kill me, but my curiosity was stronger than my fear. Time passed, and I started to question every moving pixel I saw on the camera, even if it was just the wind. In the end, I was so frightened that even a basic tree near the base seemed weird.
I wonder if these moving trees work any differently to regular trees? I was thinking maybe you could nail a tracking device to them and see where they go.
I'm pretty sure the moving trees are actually extra entities, because there are also sightings of them straight up spawning and falling from the sky in the distance, which may be the same trees.
Amazing video, really felt like finding an old lost tape hidden really well somewhere in the base, and when you go watch it, this is what you see... after so long thinking I already knew nearly everything about this game too
you have a perfect voice for kel dude, i can actually imagine you as him. awesome work! edit: noticed a minor spelling mistake, im going to be burnt at the stake!!!
the funny thing is...im watching joel play this (the dev watched his streams) and i remember him saying in one of the stream vods on youtube that "they should make the trees move just to mess with the players". can't remember what episode he said that in, but after seeing this and someone else catching this happening as well, i think that the developer was watching that night and decided to do what he said
Ya know, that camera placement is pretty genius for other reasons. If the mannequins are approaching your base, and you have that camera up and you are in the room where you monitor it from (you don't even have to be directly watching, just have the camera open) then the camera will count as observing, meaning the mannequins can't approach you.
why and how is audience retention at 20% _when the sighting happens_ but 40% _AFTER it happens?_ answer: people skip through the video and then don't see the sighting happen because they think it's gonna happen at the end!!! well GUESS WHAT NERDS, IT'S NOT AT THE END, I MADE THIS VIDEO ATMOSPHERIC AND CINEMATIC FOR A REASON!!!
Didn't even know the trees could do this. VotV is one of those games that puts all these subtle things that really add up. I wouldn't be surprised if they added an event where you own shadow turns bad, whatever that can mean. Plus, ehat they add is scary, is also simultaneously funny.
I love this game, and I love this. You are literally documenting something that currently is too unknown to believe, but definitely does. Youre the first to get such clear sightings of this I guess
Please, when you upload videos like this, put the game title somewhere. Preferably in the video description. I had to go searching in the comments to see if somebody else had already asked just to find out what I'm watching. It looks interesting and just doing that would make it a lot easier for other people to find the game. It's called Voices of the Void, for anyone else who was perplexed.
i have decided to put that in the title although i may reconsider, as i feel it takes away from the shock value of just having the titles be alone "the trees are still moving" without any context is both ominous and extremely amusing!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN CONTROL KERFUR?! Bro I strapped a camera to the drone and had to balance that with a brick and a balloon and it still has limited battery 😭
