I agree, I would rather see C418 making one final album for Minecraft rather than listening to any new soundtrack from the other composers, why? Because most of their work for Minecraft is a clear sign that they don't understand the original Minecraft atmosphere and vibes C418 showed with his music. I am not saying that their tracks are bad, it is just that they truely don't fit Minecraft at all.
NGL the idea of a Minecraft world where there are only railway lines connecting to specific structures seems so fun. Like obviously one train line could take you to so many different places, but the overlapping lines and different heights and directions seems so fun
It was little more than a mockery of developed living. A network of byzantine concrete rails, suspended above nothing, heading nowhere, with no purpose. A child's interpretation of "houses" dotted the endless rails, as randomly placed as dew drops in a spider's web. Though the track stretched far into the distance, the tram ground to a stop, depositing you in the center of one of these "not-houses". You could have walked the track. You could have walked forever. You could have returned from whence you came. But you didn't know how, and, strangely, you didn't want to. The not-house was little more than a concrete room, devoid of doors or furniture or anything even resembling a livable space. It was almost laughable how inconsiderate it felt, devoid of even a cot for you to sleep on. You would starve in a matter of weeks, if thirst didn't take you first. And yet, despite all that logic, you stayed. Because deep down, something out there in the void told you This Was Your New Home.
10/10 you captured the tone perfectly. a somber melancholy that comes from within, the strange cultureless perception of this world comes from within, not from the environment itself but how it touches you. this makes me feel like it was made with alien intention, that you weren't made for this. but here you are anyway
Wonderful as always. If there's one aspect you always capture that no one else does, it's definitely the boundless sense of scale.
