This is the most comprehensive source of information yet that I've found. Lots of detail worth knowing. My surgeon seemed to simply pass over letting me know most of this information. I now have a better understanding of what is going on with both of my hands.

What they mean is that the cords themselves aren’t painful, they’re too hard! But that doesn’t mean that the pulling and bending doesn’t hurt! Or that using that hand doesn’t hurt!

Hello everyone. I at first thought I had trigger finger in my right hand as it's in my left hand. But, my ring finger got stuck for three days. Push hard onto my palm. I massaged my palm and pulled my finger straight. Very painful. Since then I have had terrible pain in my hand. Can't use it for much at all. I've developed some hard lumps and 'pinched' areas. Had scans last week and waiting for results. I'm nearly 70 and have no family with this that I know of. My hand is swollen and extremely pain so I'm very interested in the scan results 😕

One of the best informative talks. It’s the “ Y”in Dupuytrens that threw me off from pronouncing it correctly. Once I ignored the “ Y” and repeated it a few times, I got it.👍

I've got this in both hands,I've had one operation on each hand and didn't work , now I'm in so much pain and I can't perform my job properly and I'm having trouble holding on to my job.
If you have it as bad as me it's a disability, I can't wash my face as I can't cup water in my hands, if I wash my hair it gets tangled around my fingers.
I can't open things I drop things , if I open a door and let go I'm still stuck to the handle and have to pull my fingers off the handle.
    It is horrible.
People at work don't believe me and say oh just get on with it, this isn't the case and causes me lots of stress.
You have to learn how to adapt to every day life the best way you can, take in mind it will take you twice as long so you also have to learn to be patience .

Look up Dan Web on facebook. He talks of oral tolerance and stem cells that are in the egg.The skin inside the egg are made up of stem cells and theses stem cells tells the body to make more collagen.Just four raw eggs in blender with a scoop of ice cream or chocolate milk or anything that you like and it does not taste as bad as you think.I use it for my psoriatic arthritis which in times is real painful. This is free knowledge and it just cost a blender ice cream and four eggs a day and what do you got to loose and oh yea eating some of the egg shell is ok.IT WORKS!!

Just now finding this video. So far I haven't gotten this- I think. But what I have so far is 6 trigger fingers operated on, 2 Carpel tunnels done on both wrist and 1 ulnar, so far in 2 years. Got another trigger finger surgery in the morning. Had one finger done twice. I'm beginning to think there is no end in sight. Need 2 more fingers done and my other ulnar done as well. I have 2 torn rotators to go as well. God help us all.

Pressing the tip of a pencil between each finger helps release the meridians. It is a releasing action doing this several times. These are also called baxie points in TCM. Marma points in Ayurveda. The most simple tasks of daily living become difficult. May we all release and get better...

My brother (81) & I (71) have it, Mother, God rest her soul, was Swedish. Think possibly Viking Curse! lol!
I have always had a meatless diet, mostly because I don't believe in corporate animal farming, its cruelty & damage to the environment. Now I am mostly Vegan, vegetable juice, fermented foods etc. & don't eat out.
My DC case is a very slight curve Rt. little finger, my brothers is REALLY bad. I play guitar & will try anything!
Anyone heard of Potassium iodide, DMSO, Vitamin E & CalMag?
I tried it in a very small dosage and seemed to soften the callous. Lets end this!

Could I be part of a study group? I am of Swedish decent and I’m in the beginning stage of this disease where I only have the lumps in my right hand. I am 60 yrs old. It itches and I have intermittent pain. I’m also a nurse and I need my right hand because I have a brachial plexus palsy in my left arm. As a result, I cannot supinate my left hand and heavily rely on my right hand.

At least this disease is not fatal. Disease sounds terrible. My dad's side of the family has had Dup. My grandpa, my uncle and his son and my aunt, all on my dad's side had Dup. My grandpa never got the surgery, but it didn't seem to bother him. Him live to 90 and my aunt, who had it, got surgery about 30 yrs ago. She had to quit her hairdressing job. She's 90 and still around. My cousin just had surgery at 55. I'm feeling a nodule under my ring finger and I'm hoping it doesn't turn into Dup. I'm almost 59 so wish me luck!

I was wondering whether this condition was connected to persons that may had and addition finger growing on the pinky finger. As a young boy I had a finger like growth on pinky finger and this was also common with my uncles. Can you address this and if possible could this be common in other persons.

I have DC, I've had scar tissue build up that begin 8 or 9 years ago. A family member told me she was taking primrose oil, (omega 6) and coincidentally gained movement from her DC condition. I was beginning stage two in my left hand. I tell you straight, I began taking primrose oil daily since that day and have reduced most of my scars in my palm and regained FULL movement of my pinky and ring fingers with no pain in pulling them back. Do a study and then tell me its snake oil!! Ill take that supplement until I die. I use my hands for my livelihood. try taking it and give it two to three months. you will reduce hand pain. my scars have reduced and softened, but are not gone completely
