Thank you for this video. I wish I could email you personally the picture of my skin. I been suffering this skin disease since 2006 till now no exact treatment, my doctor only prescribed me with prednisone. After taking it is gone for a while then reappear again.
I’m so sorry. I try my best to speak slowly but it’s difficult for me and always has been. Especially when I am recording a live session because I often get behind schedule and therefore talk faster to try to catch up. One thing you can do is slow down the speed of playback on the video. If you click the gear/settings symbol in the bottom right corner of the video on RUclips, you can adjust the speed and turn it down to 0.75 or 0.5 speed rather than full speed. Some of my residents actually speed my videos up and watch it on 1.5 or 2x speed which seems crazy to me Since I already talk so fast!
Morphea is diffuse sclerosis of the dermis. When we’ll developed the collagen bundles are picked so tightly that there is no space in between. I don’t think I have a morphea video. I’ll add to my to do list.
I have something which my dermatologist was unfamiliar with, she tested me for scleroderma on my forehead, she used a blood test, took biopsies and did a U/S but could not come up with a diagnosis. I am thinking it could be one of these. It sucks when you have something no one can help with. it presents like thickened skin but is only visible in certain lights and to the touch, there is a bump like feeling, resembles very mild linear scleroderma in that there is a scar in the middle of the raised tissue. strangeness Would you have any suggestions or questions I should ask my dermatologist?
Lupus and the sclerosis don't always show up on blood tests. Sometimes the dr will write UCTD= undifferentiatedconnective tissue disease.Look it up for your own sake. And take care

Hi Dr Jerad Gardner, can i ask the the difference between scleredema and scleroderma (or morphea)?
Morphea is diffuse sclerosis of the dermis. When we’ll developed the collagen bundles are picked so tightly that there is no space in between. I don’t think I have a morphea video. I’ll add to my to do list.

I’m sorry to hear this. Yes it’s always best to discuss with your dermatologist. What did biopsy results show?
