- Today what we decided to do was install a new painted fender on the 1999-2004 VW Jetta. The Jetta is a fun car to work on. It has the 1.8 Turbo engine and a 6 speed manual. This one had a massive dent and fender lip damage. The body shop wanted $1500 to fix what we did for $200. This was a painless dent removal and paint less. This fender came pre painted ready to install. This video shows how to install a fender that fits 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 mk4 Jettas. This was a paintless procedure meaning no spray gun no sanding and no painting was required to have a matching fender.

I wish my Mk4 had such unrusted rocker panels.
This car is in pretty nice shape. Body wise. How ever engine wise anything that's metal is rusted. if its not rusted its covered in oil LOL.
@@davesworld2132 Around my area we call being covered in oil "environmental protection".
@@Fopeano By me covered in oil is better than the rust. At least the block cant rust away if the oil stops the salt and moisture LOL
Yeah I haven’t been able to figure out the algorithm so to speak to what RUclips really wants but I guess doing a good job is the most important. Tonight around 11 o’clock I’m gonna watch a couple more of your videos I like them too

I paid $220 for both fenders, the front bumper, and a complete glove box at the junk yard. And you could just pull the fender out by hand and it would bend the mounts out a bit to line up..
Nice find. Unfortunately by us junkyards are a thing of the past.
17:34. Many owners fabricate their own "wheel holding tool" out of a long bolt with the proper threads. Just cut off the head and cut in a screwdriver slot. I keep mine in the tire changing kit.
