With the newer Eluxa devices, the horns and low frequency sounders (the latter being on the original Exceder LED3 series too) have a coding option called T3/T4. That allows the device to use the DSM. Wiring up the Audible circuit causes the device to sound in Temporal 4 if it is being used to signal carbon monoxide alerts instead of fire. Without the Audible circuit, it does Temporal 3.

Synching approved for only one brand is stupid.

Im shocked the 9219 actually worked on the module. Maybe its the way the wheelock module works with the timing that allows it to sync properly. I tried it on a simplex module and the strobe went a bit crazy.

Interesting. I'm honestly not sure of the pattern that SmartSync uses - it could be quite different. It could also be that your -9219 has a faster flash rate than mine. I've seen -9219's flash as fast as 2 Hz.

The wheelock module simplex clicks or drops power temporarily once per second. With a double click every 4 seconds. Smart sync is much more complex and drops power more frequently which is why the strobe probably flashed like crazy. Hope this helps!

@@FourtyFiftyEighty possibly though with my 4010. The sync relay clicks every 4 seconds so it sounds slower and probably what happened was the strobe since it had some time to flash normally for a few seconds, it did and my 9219 is a fast flasher to begin with and everytime power is cut it would flash again making it look erratic. Similar thing happened when I coded it to 20bpm. Hard to put in writing but thats what I have noticed

Hi Isik. Which panel are you using? Is your FACP not supporting Wheelock sync protoocol? Is that why DSM is required? I’m using Eluxa in a Siemens FACP and I have ordered DSM modules as well, even though the Siemens customized versions of Exceder didn’t need them.
