Saw one today. Idk if it was a higher trim or a custom grille but damn it looked good. It looked similar to this grille but the s was much bigger and the design was more detailed. Never seen one of these things before, it looked great.
I’m making a hard choice between a couple suv/trucks soon, and i came across a 2012 equator for $17k, 87k miles on it. Has anyone who’s had theirs for like 3-5+ years have a review for how theirs has lasted long term? Repairs, engine, etc. I’m not familiar with suzuki at all and i know everyone says it’s the same as the frontier , but the frontier is known for living long healthy lives. Is the suzuki equator built to last or is it gonna start crapping out fast
It's literally the same truck with a different grill and badge. Pre 2008 Frontiers and Pathfinders had issues with the heater lines and trans coolers, but the refresh ones did address that. Other that tha they're really solid trucks.
My girlfriend in highschool got a Swift as her first car. Her mom bought it from some distant family member or something. I was like what the hell is this thing 😂 but we both fell in love with it. And then a buddy of mine bought an SX/4 and I borrowed it for a week while he was on vacation. I fell in love with Suzuki! Only to learn that they pulled out of the United States 4 years prior 😂
@unknown user yea I didn’t end up buying this truck so thanks . Moved out of state but still looking just trying to find a good used truck for 12 to 15 k. Don’t want a car payment at the moment . Appreciate the feedback sir
Do it! I will always stan these trucks. Really the biggest thing you have to look out for is the trans cooler on pre-facelift Frontiers, and the heater core T at the firewall. The plastic has a tendency to get soft and crack over time.
@@WookieDrives its a 2011 like this one but it was not 4x4, like always they think 4x4 means youve got 4 tires lol. good condition but I need a 4x4 also thanks for the info about the fire wall, I did know about the strawberry milkshake of death but not the heater core, dont think ill need it anyways in Florida XD
Even as a car nut I had absolutely no idea this thing existed, seeing a Suzuki badge in such a truck is amazingly weird.
I only found out about it’s existence from Doug Demuro. 🤣
I saw one a few days ago and I felt blessed by the gods.
Do you know the kizashi then?
I’m here as a result of seeing one at a traffic light yesterday. Didn’t know it existed.

I saw an equator yesterday at my local Walmart and I was confused because it had the frontier doors on it
Since I driven the Nissan sibling extensively, I’ve always wanted one for the hell of it.

Same exact truck. So yes, it will last a long time if you do the maintanaince service. Same 4.0 v6 and 5 speed transmission.
I just had to see if this was a real truck lol
Jus seen one at my local Wendys this past weekend & being a SX4 owner I liked it.
Super rare. Rebadged Nissan Navara/Frontier.

Might buy a 2012 equator with 74,000 miles on it for $8500 1 owner no accidents.. would you say it’s worth it ??
If its a 2wd model, then see if you can get it for a little bit cheaper.
If its 4wd, then its about right price-wise.
@@WookieDrives appreciate the help ! And yes it’s
Rear Wheel Drive.
@unknown user which truck do you recommend mr America

@@jDot2414 i suggest you to go with toyota hilux
This thing and the Mitsubishi raider have to be the most forgotten not just trucks but vehicles of the 2000s
Looks like a short frontier. What's the height? My frontier is about 5 feet 10 inches
Swaybar is thicker in diameter than the frontier. Found that out the hard way today
My wife's coworker is looking to sell their 2009 Equator, I can't wait to be the owner of such a rare vehicle!
One for sell near me, might buy it because ive also been lookin for a fronty, and its 4x4 :D

Suzuki Equator is a rebadged Nissan. Still love em. Suzukis are strange and unusual vehicles but rvery orphan deserves a home. 😊
I low key am gonna try and get one in the future even if it means searching nationwide
Just saw 1 and I thought it was a joke.
Like a Toyota matrix, Pontiac vibe & Geo prizm/toyota Corolla,
