    Thanks for the tip John! this might be the ticket for my old Ranger R93. Heavy in the rear like Bass Cat. I will defenately look into this set up when my batteries go.

    Great review and plug for LiPro. The average fisherman can't afford two $2,900 batteries and a $1,500 power pole charge.

      @Mount Rushmore it's a cost efficient on the go charger and maintainer. I wanted the power pole charge but looked at a balance on all add-ons on my boat. Rather spend more on a Ghost.

    Great video J Crew's. I haven't been fishing in my Charger 395 TF since my son committed suicide. Last time we went out I had Hub problems an didn't take the plug out. Always garage kept, but parked it out to fix the Hub, rain came My dad passed away, then my son Logan, then my mom. 3 yrs later I go to charge my Optima's and there under water from all the rain with the boat cover on. Dual Bank Charger, under water. I have to replace all of it. Great Video brother. Good luck on the next Elites. I'll be watching you on Bass Live.

    Battery technology keeps getting better and better, and the PowerPole Charge system has made that even better. The big alternator on the current gen Merc 4 strokes is a godsend, have literally fished 4 days without being able to plug in the boat when we had to park far from power. I'm curious with your use of this system for a few years, have you had any degradation in battery life/health?

    • @JohnCrews

    This is good info. Thanks. But another question, did the performance of your boat change with the weight coming out of the boat? All those graphs up front and a heavy Ghost trolling motor. Is the bow of your boat heavy? Will it trim properly? Does Rick Pierce of Basscat now design his boats for lighter sterns and heavy bows? The center of gravity has changed with all this great technology.

  • @gp7967

    What voltage trolling motor you running??? 12v or 36v, as you mentioned everything is running on the boat thru the 12v system, just curious on how the trolling motor is hooked up

    • @jwluciano
      @jwluciano Год назад

      I am pretty sure he runs his Ghost trolling motor with 36 volts. You can run the Ghost on either 24 volts or 36 volts. In John’s case, unless he has some sort of voltage converter he is running the Ghost on 36 volts

    Lithium batteries are great. Currently I have a 125 12v and 3 100ah trolling batteries. Can literally fish a week without charging even without a pp charge.
    I do love have redundancy in my system where if one battery goes bad I can run my force on 24v and move a battery over as my starting battery.

    John, I've got 3 lead batteries for the Ultrex and one AGM31 for cranking and my 2 graphs. I just bought a new Garmin 126sv and livescope. My question is, can I use one 12v lithium battery for cranking AND my 3 graphs with livescope? I wanted to have a lithium battery just for my Garmin and livescope and leave the other two units on the AGM battery as they are but I've only got a 4 bank charger.

    • @JohnCrews
      @JohnCrews  6 месяцев назад +1

      You can but not all lithium batteries are equal. A good quality one like the Lithium Pro would do the job but be sure your charger in programmed for the lithium
