- On April 14th, 2023, an officer responded to a retail theft. Dispatch advised that store employees had caught a male and a female shoplifting multiple cosmetics items and keeping them in one of their personal bags, as seen on their CCTV cameras. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer located the suspects and prevented them from leaving the area. The couple continued to behave erratically even after being cuffed. Shortly after, one of the officers found a gun in the couple’s truck. Soon, one of the officers took away the female and Mirandized her. The male began complaining about his cuffs being too tight and that he was in severe pain. Meanwhile, the medics arrived to check up on the male’s injury. The officers brought the suspect’s dog to the female. The officer tried explaining the situation to the female. The male was charged with resisting arrest, retail theft and aggravated assault on a peace officer while the female was charged with resisting arrest and was released with a ban sheet.

@@laopaolao2008 I wouldn't say that. Dude probably has a valid excessive case to push because of this officer's lack of judgement. He was clearly backing up and not a threat at the moment the taser was deployed and was nothing but cooperative with him the entire time. He was obviously a bit concerned with how the officer had just tackled his wife/gf, but he clearly backed away and didn't try to fight/impede in any way so deploying the taser in this situation could be considered an unlawful use of force.
This is how the story goes from some shoplifting scumbag getting arrested, to that same scumbag receiving a huge windfall from the taxpayers thanks to another incompetent officer working the beat. Merikuh! 🤘

That was the first thing I thought of. They didn’t care if the dog was out in the hot sun while they were stealing but when the police showed up, they used the dog as a diversion.

Some people will bring a dog with them, that way if the cops bring a sniffer dog, it might give false signals, from the other dog. Also, if you can tell your dog to be aggressive, it might lessen the chance of a search. Just speculating. Thanks for the viddys.

I was kicked out of Home Depot because they wouldn’t announce over the loudspeaker that a certain vehicle in the parking lot had a dog locked in the car with windows up and in Florida heat. Me and a friend got caught shoplifting at Kmart when we were kids . Scared the crap out of me . I learned a huge lesson that day because when I was finally released to my dad we exited the store only to find out that my bicycle got stolen while I was shoplifting .

The dog seems to really love her. So they may not be the best. But at least you know he's being taken care of at home.
