No aqua guard zipper, so it’s somewhat water resistant. This would be the major improvement in the next version.
Leaving in tropical climate which downpour is a common phenomenon, this is important feature to have.

I agree! I always love a travel backpack that can handle the downpour conditions of many places we either live in or travel too! I also live in a climate that rains everyday!

I literally just took delivery of the 40l grey version an hour ago. It seems like it will be perfect for carry on only to Thailand as I’ll only need light clothing for hot climate. 👌🏼And yes, I was surprised to see a bit of padding on the side handle as every review I watched complained it was just a thin strap.

AWESOME!! congrats I bet you will love it! Agreed, I thought that strap was great as is!

Amazing backpack, many pockets, big space, smart functions, loved mine but i need a replacement. Can you do a review for the Aevor Trip Pack / Travel Pack? :)

Such a good one!! I would love to do a review of the Aevor Trip Pack/ travel backpack. It looks like a solid bag I need to get in contact with Aevor team and see what we can do for you! :)

I actually own the 28L version of this bag and have used it as a personal item on several trips. Great bang for the buck. I had the 40l for just a bit and am actually thinking about getting it again. I can live without the hip belts on a 40l bag (I never use them), but the addition of load lifters would be nice. Also, the side grab handle on the 28l is actually padded and decent, whereas I recall it just being basically a strip of unpadded material on the 40l. Is that still the case?
Overall, very tough to complain about anything on this bag at the price they are charging. Tomtoc is really doing a great job and I can't wait to see more stuff from them. Maybe a newer mid-price travel bag?

Amazing bang for the buck!! That’s good to hear I haven’t had the 28L yet! But I love the 40! As for the strap on the side it is less padded than the top one. It has very minor padding in between what feels like two sides of fabric.
Well said and let’s hope to see more great things from TomToc! Thank you for your comment Jase Cola!

I’m having a hard time choosing between this bag and the Forclaz 500.

Oooh great question! I personally like The TOMTOC better! It has pretty much everything that I love about the Hommiee + some extra cool features. I love the dual access of this bag its very practical. Plus its just feels like I can pack more into it. Hope this helps! happy travels 😊
