One word about this Amp is Amazing. I have been listening to several amps before including the Cayin CS55A , Line Magnetic LM508IA and the solid state Acoustic Arts Power 2. Thomas has nailed and biased this Amp to deliver an incredible listening experience. I always favoured tube amps over solid state for their true warm analogue sound. Congrats Thomas! Reaching this release milestone must feel both like an accomplishment and a relief. Also, first time I hear about you working on a SS… do tell us more. Thanks!!
Ah I was looking for an affordable preamp that sounds similar to my Burmester and I found someone local who designed one that sounded fantastic. The problem now is one of the key component is no longer being manufactured.
@@oldragon00 what they no longer manufacture are these MOSFET in the output stage from a specific company. I am sure I can find substitutes and that is what I am working on.
Thomas, first, congratulations on the birth of your audio baby! I noticed a clanking sound when you put the (optional) tube cage on and wondered how it was attached. A quick look at the website revealed it’s held on by magnets. That makes me wonder if you or your buddies have noticed any more transformer hum with the tube cage attached since it’s metal on metal. Maybe it’s nothing to worry about but perhaps a future change would be the addition of thin silicon pads to provide some isolation of the cage from the chassis without compromising the magnetic holding strength. The pads would also prevent scratching of the chassis.
Nah, the cage does not generate any noise. For me, I rarely use it because I have no pets or small kids. Interestingly Mr. Kanta also suggested silicon pads.
Congrats, best wishes for great success; I have and love my doge 10 , but hey there’s always more room in future for a great tube amp . Best wishes again
Carvers at 14:48 😁 Been awhile since I’ve seen those!!! LOOOOONG planar ribbons on those… Had a set 25 years ago… Would be a lot of fun to play with those with your TS120! 🛳 Looking forward to ordering your equipment sometime next year - hoping you’ll “suggest” a good DAC/PREAMP pair upstream…. 🤔 💭
congratulations Thomas on your amp launch. This amp looks very classy, especially in the black and even better looking than my dream amp the Primaluna Evo 400. It also looks high quality inside, where it really matters and I like the idea of the protection cut off, which the Primaluna also has. I would love to see the Sibelius speakers hooked up to this amp and your thoughts on that combo. You may have just done enough to pull me away from the Evo 400, but I still need to work on the wife to allow me to dig into the bank account. I wish you all the best with your new venture and I've just subscribed to your new channel. 🙂
Nice, Mr. Jazz had the EVO 400 so we have an idea the difference in performance. Eventually on the Galion youtube channel, I will be sharing sound demo of the amp with all kind of speakers and sharing short impressions of what I think.
Nice amplifier. I like the features and how it was designed with my ears in mind, as far as the voicing goes. Also like switchable A/AB, the three position listening-mode selector switch, and, albeit only +/- 4 dB, the tone controls !! Great to have them in there for subtle fine tuning.
Congratulations and best of luck with sales, hope they fly off the shelves and become an instant classic. I look forward to your reviews in 3-6 months time. Noodles 🍜?! Chilli!
Well done sir! I was impressed when that drum solo from Manu Katché started. The amp was like a more refined and mature version of the child that doge10 and wilsenton r8 would have.
Congratulations, I did think you where describing a Willsenton at one point..glad that was addressed though. Sounds like a great amp, love the idea of an EQ and sound profiles built in! Also there's a Sub out!! I really hope this is a sellout for you. Good luck.
That’s awesome. I’m glad you changed the printing on the front, the samples are too busy. I won’t buy one because I don’t trust getting something like this shipped across the world, and then there’s international servicing headaches. But I hope you have great success. I have to admit vast airiness is not something I’ve had experience with and even wonder if I would find it off putting. I love centred vocals but I like to hear my music coming from the front with a modest amount of air. I’m a simple man with simple needs. Your dedicated youtube channel is a great idea.
I guess it is a bit like listening to a performance in a church as oppose to in a small room. The church will add an extra layer of reverb and making it sound more grand.

Good on you Thomas, Great to see you work evolving into a product,
Thanks 👍
Awesome Job! It's like having multiple amps in one :) Also, love the name and story behind it.
Looks awesome Thomas. All the best with this endeavour. I wish I had the cash for one and would love to hear it!
Excited for you Thomas! Hope you have great success with it!
Hi Thomas,
best of luck to you,
You deserve it my mate,
All that hard work is now coming to fruition,
well done, enjoy...
Regards Antony Warrington England..
Try to find it in China, they can manufacture anything you want!
Congratulations in launching a product.
Many many thanks
Nice! Congratulations thomas! Such an accomplishment and wishing you futher success.
Thank you very much!
If and when I do a tube system, this will be me integrated! Congrats!
This makes me happy man!! I can't wait to follow how this goes and whatever you do next.
I can confirm, significant udder did tell me "bigger is better" ;) Thanks Thomas, someday my ship will come in and i will buy one.
Nice amplifier. I like the features and how it was designed with my ears in mind, as far as the voicing goes. Also like switchable A/AB, the three position listening-mode selector switch, and, albeit only +/- 4 dB, the tone controls !! Great to have them in there for subtle fine tuning.
Thanks, so far the first group of customers is really impressed by it.
Looks great Thomas. Love the name and the entire concept. Best of luck
Glad you like it
Very nice Thomas - congratulations 👏
Congratulations and best of luck with sales, hope they fly off the shelves and become an instant classic. I look forward to your reviews in 3-6 months time. Noodles 🍜?! Chilli!
Holy cow it's really happening, congratulations Thomas!!
It sure is!
Whaaaaaaaaat a wonderful video Thomas....!!!! Thank you..!!! (Best wishes)
congratulations Thomas ! a birth of an empire 🥳
At last a "fire bottle" amp us mortals can afford! This could have potential!
So happy for you Thomas, well done my man!
I don't do tubes but I wish you all the best. By the way, your optimism is inspiring :)
CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. TS 120! May they outsell everybody else, for good reasons! B-O-Y 2022
Congrats Thomas. Reccomendations for tube pairing with the Galion 120 with Heresey IVs??
TAD6550
congratulations Thomas so excited for you, you sound like a very excited boy hahahahah well done mate.
The Galion looks great. I noticed the wave detail on the Facia of the Black version. Nice touch! ⛵
Congratulations Thomas, I'm sure it's satisfying for you! And many more will come. Perhaps, a tube preamplifier next?
Thanks, I am actually working on a solid state preamp!
Hi Thomas. Hope Galion turn to be a huge sucess. It looks VERY nice for my taste and it's important. Good lucky!!!
I hope so!
Bravo! Best of luck. The amp looks superb and I'm sure will sell out quickly.
Half my stock is gone already!
@@ThomasAndStereo Haha! Fantastic!
The American, er Canadian, dream! Wish you all the best Thomas!!
Thinking of buying this as my first tube.
In some sense, it would be like buying a Ferrari as your first sports car. Usually people start from the bottom and slowly upgrading.
@@ThomasAndStereo what would be your Recommendation to get 1st tube amp with soft warm tuby sound??
@@savanp228 It depends how much power you need, if your speakers are sensitive, a Decware UFO2 but you have to wait a year.
Good luck.
Thanks!
Super fantastic show love the amplifier its awesome,,,, 👍😁🎩🤓👌😏🎧
Glad you like it!
Hi Thomas, nice product. For the tone choice, lab, neutral , classic. Love the separate power supply and high quality parts. Mtl , Can.
Thanks, I will change it.
