Assasins creed used to be somewhat historically accurate but now it is a game made by idiots who got a 0 on their history GCSE.
I disagree if you said ac was used to be historically accurate, it never was. But previous AC never use real historical figure as a playable character, they made a fictional character that somehwat crossed the same timeline as historical figure in each title.

They have never described it as a fiction game. From the beginning, UBI has explained that it was produced faithfully to historical facts and that they would fill in the blanks in Japanese history.

They have gotten so many things wrong about japanese history and culture in this piece of trash game that it makes me question if their "japanese historian" was an actual historian or just a creepy fujoshi who is into stories of priests going after young boys.
Assassin's Creed games are not strictly historically accurate. I have been boycotting Ubisoft since the reveal of Watchdogs Legion. That one made it pretty clear that they care more about pushing a political agenda than making quality games.

Many African merchants visited India for example and I would be very interested in a game playing as them. It's a foreigner's outsider perspective. The Japanese have always been a very homogenous people so you're a bit racist (I'm not blaming you, that's just how many Japanese are) and rigid while Indians are very mixed so for me I don't care about skin colour at all. If there's an emotional and good story with hidden blade action and Isu stuff, it's a good Assassin's Creed game for me.
And Assassin's Creed has always mixed history and fiction and it has made Ubisoft billions of dollars, so turns out it's a really good idea. I will always love Assassin's Creed no matter what they do.

It’s not a coincidence that they chose the one black figure in Japanese history to be the main character. He wasn’t a samurai he was a servant who was given high status by being part of Oda Nobunaga’s personal retinue because he was exotic and a way to show off his power by having such an exotic guy under his control. He wasn’t given land or samurai status and was in Japan for less than 2 years. It’s unclear if he was in battle or not, but either way he is a minor figure compared to SO many other characters from the era. It’s obvious they picked him for one reason….

But it’s not okay to mislead people who were not familiar with our nation’s history and fabricated facts. I just want to remind you that UBI used to claim this game as historical facts. If you gather all the evidence, although a lot of it will suggest that he was samurai (jesuit letters, shinchou kouki...), you can only really declare with absolute confidence that we don't know whether he was or wasn't. I don't see how you're going to make a case out of that in front of court.
