Draft advantages and suggestions are still the least of the problems you should worry about, as for 99.999999% of the players it wont matter, and at *top* level you already know your enemy, so you know what they play etc. On top of that meta is always so stale that u litteraly just have to know what 3-4 heroes to pick. This tool would've allowed everyone to be on the same plain in the bracket, and even helping against smurfs, while not affecting gameplay. But good luck seing another am picked by your carry instead of having that braindead monkey see "pick not am" on the screen and clicking the hero it suggested.

Right now, I'm focused on testing guides and so the focus is playing heroes and item builds that may not be meta or all that great I'd rather do that where it's less focused on just winning and restricting myself to heroes I can play. To add, I don't find any fulfillment playing ranked when I feel very fulfilled testing guides and making the best guides

so we just played battlecup on saturday as we always do my team in Tier 5 Na and in round 2, the enemy team with thier first 4 bans banned 4 heroes we played in the first round with our profiles on private, thanks for showing me how the fuck they did that
It's not about hidden profile when we talk about Battle Cup. Simply go to bracket and look for previous match details. Game lets you that. But if you're talking about the very first match of Battle Cup, you're right mate.

The Overplus devs are watching too much anime and really thought they could single-handedly take down Valve. I am not tech savvy but considering where we are with technology, I assume Valve would know how many accounts you log in to the same computer, hence knowing whether you are smurfing or using multiple accounts, just like how Valve knew the smurf accounts of pro players. I've been playing dota for 15k hours with 7k mmr, i havent use any of these softwares, but im also a programmer for about a decade now, im not that well verse into hacking, but i did my research back in the day, because most programmers started out as a hacker wannabe( but im earning too much money from legitimate means already, and hacking takes more dedication), but even at this moment i can think of 5 ways to implement the hiding of smurfs that im sure will still work today. hackers are as fearsome as they claim; perfect security does not exist in the world, it does not exist in real life and more so in the digital space, you do know that the very thing that's protecting the game from hackers are just a few lines of codes? which can be analyzed and have a loophole created to bypass, specially since dota is publicly available and can be datamined easily given the proper tools, even without a knowledge for hacking. if you know anything about life, it's that criminals always have the upperhand, most of the law on most countries even serves only as punishment to those who did the crime, because it is way harder to prevent it. I have an idea to how this war will be fought out, by giving everyone free skins(yes even those very expensive ones), i created a script back in the day that would allow me to get every single cosmetic in the game, but I didnt use it cuz im not knowledgeable enough to evade a possible vac ban, so i know that a dedicated group of hackers would make it possible, and when that happens, the market would crash, im pretty sure dota earns more than millions daily just from skins getting sold, and when everyone recieve every cosmetics for free why would they need to pay. it will also be hard to remove, because you cant just delete every item that all players recieved in a certain timeframe, because it would also remove items deleted through legitimate means, and no matter what watermarks valve put in their cosmetics can easily be replicable if the hackers have backdoor on them, and im pretty sure they do, thats one of the key requirement for they hacks anyway. i am more surprised about what valve did, as ive researched this software before and they seem to have strictly abided to valve's written rules, and reddit complained and suddenly they are just banning players without warning. valve could have just released a warning that users of this software will be banned, and 80% of the players would stop using it, then they can ban the rest who still used it. as for why people are using this; its because this is a pretty popular software that has been around for ages and users are not getting any bans or warning, which could be interpreted that it is allowed, however the monthly players are already around 500k only and they banned 150k players, im not saying they shouldnt be punished but, at this point it's like im watching dota 2 kill itself, and this war with the overplus devs could cause dota to cut their losses and delete the game. ive only mentioned about the free skin part, but they could also use massive ddos attacks to shut down the servers and make the game unplayable for a huge amount of time, they could create bot accounts, that just griefs every game. and im not sure if they can do this already but it is possible, if you have access through an admin side app, you can potentially even change the mmr values of each players, or modify that code, and make everyone 10k mmr, everything i mentioned would kill the game. now tell me again, with your limited imagination, and knowledge how these are paper-tiger threats

It really isn't, you cant inspect someone's profile in draft phase and you cant see their dota plus level of that hero until they select it and its revealed in draft. The program you are talking about reveals the information prior to them selecting it by reading in game memory. So yeah, different and not in any sense "literally dota+" - sounds like someone is salty cause they dont get an unfair advantage in draft anymore? :)
Why would the new players get affected by this? Do u assume they use these programs? kinda pointless tbh. Why 1 yr? cuz why not? perma is much better punishment for these players for them to think twice in cheating in the future.
