Hi Marvin 👋 thanks once again for watching, we really appreciate it 💖 also thank you for the suggestions, we have tried pancit and it’s delicious, we can’t wait to explore the islands and also try more and more Filipino food, we love it so far so can’t wait to try more ☘️🇵🇭💖✌️
A widely grown plant in the Philippines, ma·lung·gáy is a plant with the scientific name Moringa oleifera. It is simply called “moringa” by English speakers. It is one of the most nutritious plants in the world, known to be good for nursing mothers for lactation. PANDESAL is a popular breakfast Filipino bread usually served hot. That’s the latest trend now adding malunggay to pandesal ingredients. I can see you’re enjoying the Filipino-Chinese dishes in Binondo. Watching you from Los Angeles CA. I’m a Filipina, born and raised in Manila. I’m so excited to visit this coming September and it’s been 12yrs since my last visit. I’ve seen MOA, but not the BGC area. I’ll be watching your blogs.
MALUNGGAY is MORINGA in English. It's the most Nutritious Vegetable (leaves) and usually found in Pilipino Cuisines. The Malunggay Pandesal is a favorite breakfast/snack of Pilipinos. Pandesal is derived from Spanish words, PAN (bread) DE (of ) SAL (salt). It can be written as PAN DE SAL or PANDESAL.
The moringa in the pan de sal is nor cultural. Its just a new thing and not very common. If you bake the moringa it would probably ruin its nutritional value and will just make the pan de sal bitter. The best pan de sal is those of Pan DE manila which is cooked in a pugon.
@@eduardochavacano Who says that Moringa Pandesal is a cultural thing? And who says that cooking Moringa will lose it's nutritional value? And do you know the meaning of PUGON? Because all Pandesals, Breads, and Cakes are all cooked in PUGON. Because PUGON means OVEN in English.
Unfortunately Filipino cuisine doesn't have a lot of just pure vegetables. Filipinos are big carnivores. There are some vegetarian options but not usually in the older and more traditional food places around the Philippines.
Item No.2 Fresh Lumpia is best enjoyed with the sweet sauce (not soy sauce) which brings it to the next level. How much sauce you may ask, I empty the whole sauce in one piece lumpia. It’s filling without the guilty feeling because it has more veggies in there than pork.
All that walking I felt so bad for Caolan. Must have been hungry! All the snack foods look yummy 😋 Samantha looked like she enjoyed everything 😂 See you on your next video.
Awh thank you! All the food was absolutely delicious, it was nice to try them. Thankfully Caolan managed to get dinner when we got back to our apartment 🤣 thanks so much for watching and glad you liked our video 💖💖☘️☘️
3:00 Friend there is no Vegetarian system in the Philippines, if you want only vegetables go to the wet Market and buy many Vegetables there, and any type of Pilipino dishes are with vegetables and Meats
Lumpia can be made with any kind of meat, and it could even be made with fish like Tuna. Usually, Lumpia is deep fried but the one you just tried is different. Siopao also have different varieties like Asado, bola-bola etc. There's also what you call sweet siopao which can be made with chocolate or other sweets. Siopao can also be either steamed or fried. The bread you just tried is a variation of pandesal. Well, it is pandesal but made with Malunggay. My cousins from the states love it. Malunggay is very nutritious... Malunggay is a tree with edible leaves, flowers and all.
Malunggay in filipino word and Moringo in English is one of the top 10 superfoods. We cook it with chicken, unripe papaya, malunggay make it as a soup with a little bit of ginger.
Malunggay is a vegetable and officially declared by WHO as the most beneficial vegetable in the world. It's from a tree and has become a very popular vegetable mixed in everything.
Malunggay is Filipino word known in other parts of the world as Moringa. It’s got lots of health benefits and in some other countries they sell the dry leaves in powder form in small bottle containers. Some even make a tea from the roots of the tree.
Most Vloggers going to China Town did not know where to eat pure vegetarian food, the restaurant named VEGE SELECT you can eat vegetable dishes. It is along Ong Pin street. Near the PRESIDENT restaurant.
Twas fun watching you and I couldn't stop smiling looking at how eager you both were. I'm sure your palates were taken to a gustatory treat discovered excitingly as you roamed Binondo. 😊
