They are beautiful and you know what? I live in the Netherlands and every year I do exactly the same. Recycle old cards into new. Also using washitapes and punch and glitter and bling, gloss and snow and stamps etcetera. Nice to see someone else doing the same
I like to make new cards of old cards. Tomorrow i will buy a embassing machine. This Christmas vacation will be a creative one. Together with my grandchildren 😊 Wish you and yours a great Christmas.
I absolutely adore recycling & reusing greeting cards. The crafts you can make with them are unlimited. These came out beautifully. Wishing you & yours a safe, happy & healthy holiday season! 🎁
I love the way you recycle these cards! I just watched your video where you made little gift bags and made one right along with you! I have made little bird houses with them as well for a small vignette/gift for my Sunday school ladies. I look forward to seeing more ideas and uses for them!!
@@craftyria They turned out really cute and I used every bit of the card, tho I had to use old hymnal pages to cover some of the sides and back walls and base (where the signatures and uglier bits were). The parts I cut away I ended up using for the “posts” for some of them and staggered the heights. One sits on the hymnal-covered base card, one lifted a little and one lifted a little more. I used 3 cards per vignette, and added a bit of greenery and berry picks and ribbon. I haven’t tried yet, but I bet if I made them with a way to lift the roof I could add a little battery tea light!
@@craftyria Ok, I just made another little card project and it worked out well! I had some horizontal (landscape) formatted cards so I used two and made a little box, a perfect size to hold cocoa mix packages or tea bags! The cards were a nice heavy card stock so it feels rather substantial! The two largest sides are the designed halves of the cards and the narrower sides are made from one of the blank halves cut in half, and the bottom is the other blank half trimmed to fit. So cute and easy! I am now going to attempt to make a cutesy little gift card box from some more cards! You have inspired all this!! Thank you! If you have time and inclination, I would love to see you make these, love to see your more professional operation!!! Mine have looked good, but I don’t have a scoring board and all the wonderful means and methods, so seeing you do it well would be a treat! Thanks so much!
I am a newby. This is my first time watching your video. I am happy to have found you. I love recycling all kinds of cards. Thank you for this video🤗💞💙
This reminded me of something I used to do. I made a pattern out of plastic that I could see through and placed it on the picture so I could cut just what I wanted. Thanks for reminding me of this great idea.
Very nice cards. I have a suggestion for you. Cut a piece of clear acetate to the size you want your card front. Then you an lay it over the piece you are cutting & easily see what you will have after cutting it down. Happy New Year!
What a great video! I think it would be fun to hang on to the envelopes and send the recycled cards back to the original recipients with a note about how much you enjoyed their card.
on the sleigh card I'd put the sleigh corner (after trimming) to the right bottom corner of the card base, hold it tight, turn it over and trace the sleigh piece with a pencil. then you can cut just inside the pencil lines. It should fit perfectly.
Beautiful cards. I love the cardinal sitting on pine branches especially. I'm slowly learning the art of recycling! I will also be checking out your past videos too! TYFS.💜
Thank you very much for another great video! I just purchased the bling you had. Also, I purchased the Elmers glue all... It works great! Thanks again! You are so inspiring😊
I really like ur video. Some ppl find it necessary to yak, yak, thru the whole video. You didn't do that u got right down to business. I love, love the beautiful cards. Good job. I cringed every time you brought that blade down. 🤣 Thanks.
Pretty cards. I was thinking if you could have fussy cut the cardinal out on the first card & pasted it somewhere else? Just the same, very nice sizing the cards to fit the base card. The base cards you chose are perfect! Thanks!
Both cards are gorgeous, thank you for sharing. You gave me lots of ideas when recycling old Christmas cards or other cards. Just subscribed to your channel. 🤗
Welcome to the channel! I'm glad you found me. Recycling Christmas cards is my favorite craft! I have a bunch of videos about it on my channel and many more to come!
I loved ur video. Thanks for not blabbing thru the whole video like some you tubers do. U just got down to business. Your cards r beautiful. Altho I cringed every time you brought down that blade. Yikes! 😳
It would be possible (on the second card) to glue the front section on three sides to make a top-opening - to add a voucher or gift card for posting. Thanks for sharing.
Great cards as always. Have you thought of laying your card base over the picture you are having to cut so you can see where you need to cut, as J find that helps me.TFS
I do that sometimes. I also hold the card base behind the picture and hold it up to the light. I have a template I made as well. Sometimes I just wing it.

I found a pattern on Pinterest. I will experiment with it and give it a try. If it works out, I'll make a video. @@lesliebooth2833

I might actually do that this year.

With the bling on them, does it cause any issues when mailing (from the thickness)? Is extra postage needed? Ty!

Of course you know I love the cardinal card because of all the red, but, as always, both cards are beautiful. Love the bling.
Beautiful cards😀💖
Thank you!
Very Beautiful. Some cards have message on the outside. Is it okay or better to leave words on the outside ? Cindy Hoch
Words on the outside are fine as well!
Lovely cards. Did I miss the backing coming off the foam tape on the Cardinal one?
Wow, gorgeous!
Very nice Riaxx
Beautiful!
Where did you get your tape runner?
The orange one is from The Tape Depot. I have a newer one that a viewer sent me from Scotch.
Beautiful ❤
