And to get a judge to sign a warrant there has to be sufficient suspicion of a crime or wrong doing having been committed, the mere presence of redaction, while suggestive, does not constitute reasonable suspicion of wrong doing...warrants are to find evidence.

He said the redaction was part of an ongoing law enforcement investigation, which either means conspiracy theorists are being investigated, put on a list or about to be arrested OR they already have an active investigation against whoever was speaking in those emails. Anytime a company of any size hires a law firm, the lawyers go in and they read the documents, and they redact anything of personal information anything that sensitive to the outside. So this is a common practice. It isn't specific to Dr fauci or the CDC or anything else. If you go back and refresh yourself, the Mueller report was redacted due to sensitive information as well
You are absolutely right. A b5 redaction is reserved for those who hold gov. Office or if the subject is in litigation. A b6 redaction is for emails or personally identify able info, so those ate ok. The b5 is being misused. They should have gone over that on the hearings.

I know several people that voted a straight ticket every time they voted because it was the fastest way to vote, thankfully Texas did away with that option on all state ballets. Now they actually research the candidates and found out that the party (Dems) they'd been voting for years stood far from where they thought they did, on many of the issues they support like the 2nd amendment. Because they don't follow politics they just voted the way their parents did; which never made sense to me. I was always told to make my own choices when voting by my parents. I belong to no party and depending on whose running for office, I will vote in that primary if there is someone I do not want to see move forward. The last time I did was to vote against Rick Perry in 2012, as he was a horrible governor that repeatedly abused his authority.
