carlow town is in county carlow.
Cahher Loch (actually Ceatharlach) is how you say carlow town in the irish language.

surely the correct name is Cahher Loch which means Four Lakes or Quadruple Lake?

Carlow Town is in County Carlow, Kildare Town is in County Kildare. Kilkenny in County Kilkenny, Dublin City in County Dublin
