[00:00] 1. Grey Prince Zote

New update brings two new bosses. Both of them can be fought multiple times, though you only need to defeat them once to get the dream stuff and achievements. Defeating them more than once will not give you anything else.
Prince only spawns flying Zotes during the first battle. When you fight him second time, he starts spawning hopping Zotes, and during his third battle - volatile ones. After that, he will start dealing more and more damage every time you kill him. In the video you see my 10th battle with him, where he deals 8 damage with his swords attacks.
White Defender always has the same attacks, only his damage increases. He has different line every time you defeat him. You have to prevail 5 times in order to see them all. In the video you see my 6th battle with him and i also edited all of his lines after the battle.
Used Charms:
- Grubberfly's Elegy
- Fragile Strength
- Dash Master
- Quick Slash
So apparently, the cost of the Quick Slash charm was increased from 2 to 3 notches, but since I'm using the old file, I still had the old version of it. Which means, you're going to be overcharmed if you'll try to use the same charms as me.

Dung Defender really is a comedic tragedy. Lost his love, his life, his mind, and is left under a forgotten city in the sewers playing with literal shit. Dudes broken :P

@@lucasrg9238 yeah lol, I actually think beating Zote 10 times was considerably harder... don't get me wrong, the Nightmare King was a bitch as well, but killing Zote without getting hit once was quite the challenge. It took me like 3.5 hours to beat the 10 of them in one sitting. No achievement for the path of pain is also a disappointment, not to speak of the pantheon of hollownest (that last one I haven't even tried yet - looks like a true ball ache to complete).
The fact that the Zote creatures are in the Journal implies that The Hunter read Bretta’s book.
No. The Journal isn't just the Hunter's notes. The little symbol (A Dream snowflake) above the description on the bottom being different from the one of regular mobs (The Hunter's Head) indicates that those weren't made by the Hunter.
Anyway, a giant frickin bush bug thing wouldn't fit in Bretta's tiny ass door

Dung Defender was arguably one of the best fights. This just cements the cheery sounding fellow with a sad past.
Joe Vegas his glorious cries, dramatic movements, and pure bliss in simply being able to fight a good fight once more, makes him one of my favorite bosses in almost every context, plus I’m able to do his opening shout pretty well so I’m proud of that!
After his defeat, the White Defender pledges to his king that he will rebuild the kingdom, restoring it to its former glory. In spite of the fact that the ending of the game is bittersweet, knowing that the future of the kingdom is in capable hands after your character's job is done is reassuring.
My head canon is that after the Knight's job is done and he dies / goes to the abyss along with the rest of the shades, Hornet, Ogrim (the Defender) and maybe several other bugs come together to rebuild Hallownest.
We got a whole court! Hornet would be the Queen, Ogrim her faithful knight, Lemm and Cornifer as record keepers, and Zote as the court fool! It’s perfect.

Being aggressive works, attacking him constantly is good, but also remember to dodge, but dont fully prioritize it. Heal as much as you can when he's exhausted, and go again.
Cherry makes me sad about every character and that's saying something because I never get sad at movies and stuff
They just have a way of making me really like characters and then crushing them and their dreams in front of me

I feel sad for Dung now... really... he missed all his comrade, the old great glory...

And yet, even though his resplendent white carapace has turned auburn with age and grime, he continues on fearlessly. Truly, an example to Knights everywhere.
I wish Team Cherry can make the 3 nails master storyline as well.
because one of them remember all these 5 knights... perhaps they had something in the past, and witness the fallen of Hallownest, which ended up their decision to become a hermit.

So friggin true turning it to 0.75x speed looks normal and 1.25x speed looks like 1.5x speed even the sound doesn't sound cut up for me when I turn it to 0.75x speed too

Even in his dream, Zote still doesn't know how to use the freaking nail.
6:05 Okay, but what if there WAS an alternate timeline where the everything hadn't gone to hell, and Ogrim's fond wish here actually happened? The King still around, recognizing the Knight's heroism, and making them a knight for real? The Knight and their siblings - the Hollow Knight and Hornet - getting to work, side by side, doing feats of great heroism alongside the Defender and the other great knights.
What a glorious timeline that would be.
Anyoe curious what fighting the other 4 original Knights ould be like? (and i dont count failed chapion as one of them, taht was juts a lil shit who stole one of the knights armor)

The saddest thing in White Defender's dream is that he actually doesn't know if his friends or King are dead.
I've never been sadder until I've read "When he returns, I'll ask him for you to become a Knight". Damn, he's not even that aware...
But the King isn't dead though. It is heavily implied he disappeared one day. Hegemol could also not be dead yet.

You know the best about the Grey Knight Zote? His attacks are similar to his "attacks" in the Colosseum.

Gellot , once again you continue to impress. Quick question (or challenge depending on how you look at it), I just thought of two great games for you to do a no damage boss fight run on. Apologies if you had already planed on playing them though.
Sundered- Fantastic artwork, chilling bosses that really make you think you are going to die, deceptively simple combat layout, and it's from the same people that made Jotun so you know it is going to be a quality piece of work.
Cuphead- Yeah, you need to play this when it comes out, no question. The developers themselves are trying to set a world record for most boss fights in a run and gun game (30+), each with vastly different attack patterns and gimmicks. This combined with the fact it's supposed to be Dark Souls level difficult makes this a must play for your channel.
I'm playing Sundered right now, and i don't think it's possible to do all bosses with no damage. Some of them spawn too many enemies and the dodging abilities are very limited. I will still record it, but probably without the challenge.
As for the Cuphead, I've been waiting for this game for a long time, so I will definitely record it.

Hard to say, I had a lot of difficult bosses. I'll need to rewatch my videos to remember...
As for the games which i didn't record, so far the hardest for me was the sniper girl from the Furi.

In case they ever put out another dlc for this with more bosses, fury of the fallen and grubberfly's elegie combo so at 1 hp you deal much more damage. Usually a problem, but with your boss fighting method...

Grey Prince Zote is just the imagination of Bretta. The bettle that was talking to Zote. That is how she sees him in her eyes atleast.
The Dung Defender was indeed a great warrior of the past who protected the Pale King and his kingdom with 4 other knights.
The Grey Prince Zote is just how Bretta imagines Zote in her dreams.

One is a frustrating comedy, the other is a false comedy hiding sadness
Im gonna theorize about the events following the fall of the radience, we all know a tiny bit about the dlc coming out but one thing i question is how the vessle (what in calling the person you play as) reunite with his body and why, the creation of a vessle was a forced act.. it striped all and any emotion from whatever they used to fill them. And any vessles with any emotion were basicly scraped and left to become the shades... your siblings. Idk why emotions seemed to somehow determen the perfection of a vessle or how the radience would have manipulated such emotion, and this leads me to think about zote. He is in simmaler apearence to any basic vessle with a mask and cloak but actually speaks and thinks and dreams. Maybe zote was the worst of them all, a vessle that was the most imperfect, now ik zote said he hatched but maybe it was part of the birthing proccess of a vessle. He may have been created and escaped somehow to live among other bugs instead of being cast out. But hay im too lazy to think of the rest of this.

When I tried to beat him using a mixed build with spiders and flies, I could literally not see anything at times because of the shit that was happening on the screen. So good that he is also shit-king

So I know that you can fight these guys multiple times and they get stronger. I can tell Zote was fought several times, but did you fight white defender so he got new attacks?
"ZOTAH!" -zote
Do this 3rd times and he gain a new move.
4th time he starts doing 2 damage and goes higher and higher.
HOLY SH*T, they made a new boss out of Zote, they made... oh god, I just gonna say Grey Prince Zote.
