Happy Friday! My gratitude list for today (self-care mission number 2): a friend that made me laugh with a Meme this morning, the white peonies in our garden, hanging out our laundry in the sunshine. In other news, my poor hubby is ill right now (started yesterday) so he doesn't have much appetite. Think it's the bug that is going around here right now! Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Swimming with my Bluetits Chill Swimmers ladies and pottering in the garden. Enjoy your day!
1. I am focusing on drinking extra water every day.
2. I keep a gratitude journal every day. I call it Daily Joys. (Cats napping; Cat napping; Rest; Oatmeal with margarine and maple syrup)
3. I watch his happy out cats look while stretching and try to go the same,
4. I like to visualize places we’ve traveled and enjoyed. Lisa Anne Dupree 🙂🌻🦋
My self care missions:
1. More water
2. Rebounding after my morning swim.
3. Imagining being in Aruba and Curacao on the beach.
Hi Diane. Sorry to hear your hubby is sick. I hope he is feeling better soon! #1 I am going to drink some water out of the glasses we got 21 years ago for our wedding. I do need to drink more water and we don't use those glasses. #2 I am also trying some new stretches this week!! #3 I have a gratitude journal. I just need to be more consistent with it. I am thankful for health, family and you Diane. You have a big impact on my life. #4 when I think of someplace calming my mind goes to someplace I have never been 😆
Hoping your hubby gets to feeling better really soon, Diane. 💖 I hope to do self care missions 1 & 2 for sure. 🦋
I’m consistent with self care options 1&2 so I’m doing 3&4 this week. Enjoy the weekend!
Three things that I am grateful for:
1. This channel. I have depression and anxiety. Your channel and the introduction of morning and evening routines has really helped to ground me. I feel more peaceful within myself and within my home.
2. My cat Bella
3. My new coffee maker!
Three things I’m grateful for every day: Living in a apartment with big windows that let in the light and the view of my little neighborhood; having good enough health to be able to carry out my routines; houseplants living their quiet, lovely lives in my home. And of course, I am grateful for you Diane, for enriching my life. During this next week, I’m going to try to find an opportunity to thank each person I encounter. If it turns out to be a good enough practice to keep up, I’ll let you know!
I've started the gratitude list each day. It's keeping problems in perspective. For those who aren't water fans, adding a squeeze of lemon in is refreshing! Stretching before getting up in the morning is my goal. Taking a mind break imagining the beach by the lake is a wonderful place to visit". Just started a new book entitled "Joyful" by Ingrid Fetell Lee. It links our surroundings with well-being and mental health and the importance of colors in our lives to find joy. Very intriguing! Thanks again, Diane, for looking out for our best interests! RAH RAH RAH!
I’ve chosen gratitude. So, not in any order, I am grateful for my pets, my comfortable home, having some savings which brings a feeling of security, and my family and friends. Thanks Diane x
Why is it so hard to take time for a little self-care for ourselves. Thank you, Diane, for reminding us to do that ❤.
I am so grateful to be retired. For my morning walks. Being in nature is so healing. And for you!!! I love these videos and really look forward to them. Thank you! ❤️
I took a walk through my herb garden and gathered a few sprigs to infuse into water with a lemon I have let sit in the fridge. My self-care was that walk and the upcoming herbal water! I hope your hubby is felling better by now.
I am drinking my water as I type! But also I am grateful for my husband, who is truly my best friend, my family, and my health! And also for Diane in Denmark who inspires me to keep moving!
I’m grateful for my husband of 52 years, my children and grandchildren, and our tiny home on the beach, where we live permanently!
Dear Diane,
I am glad to hear, nothing happened to your cabin!
Thank you for the lovely chat :)
While sipping my water I came up with three things I am so grateful for:
1.) clean and drinkable tap water (which i always miss, when being away from Germany)
2.) hot tap water at any day or nighttime (what a gift!)
3.) the right amount of rain for our trees and plants (it has rained for almost two weeks straight in Bavaria, Germany and nor too far from us, there has been severe flooding) - I am so thankful for a safe and cozy home, thinking deeply about everyone who has to leave theirs due to the flooding.
My gratitude list :) 1. My husband is getting over his illness after two weeks. 2. Having time to homemake some yummy meals this week. 3. Spending time outside with my animals 🩷 Also, very thankful to find DianeinDenmark, I have needed the bright spot in my day these past few months! Learning the routines have been a life saver. Much love 💕
1. I was already enjoying a cold glass of water while watching this video. 😊
2. Grateful for my daughter's graduation from high school, living in the beautiful state of Michigan where we're never far from water, and being able to sit in the backyard and watch the birds.
I'll also make sure to do numbers 3 and 4. 😊
I try to write a gratitude list everyday. It helps put things in perspective! Today I’m thankful for you Diane, my eyesight, and my ability to read. As I have witnessed my elderly mother lose her eyesight, I have learned to never take it for granted. Thanks Diane!
I'm grateful for my health; for our very sweet cat and rabbit living (in relative peace) with me and my love; for my wonderful fullfilling job; for our home (that from the inside looks a bit like your Swedish Cabin, Diane); for my wonderful friends - and for your inspiration Diane!
Practicing stretching, water and finding joy in one thing every day. Have a lovely weekend!
I definitely need a summer schedule. I'm already doing all 4 self care. Putting my water bottle in the freezer and allowing ice to form helps me to enjoy water in the summer. I'm grateful for so many things but today I saw a beautiful deer in my housing development. So grateful today for the gorgeous weather, the beautiful flowers and trees in my neighbor's yards and the animals I see on my walks and in my backyard.
3 of the many things I am grateful for today:
Visiting and helping older daughter get ready for her first baby!
Younger daughter coming to visit her father while I was gone and helping around here.
Husband enjoying his new job; he retired from his career and is newly employed.
I'm grateful for my beautiful blooming garden, for having a piano so I can still practice a little everyday (part of my self care), and for my family.
And I love your videos. They motivate and I really feel like we're chatting one on one sometimes. Also, I love that your videos are straight forward - no superfluous video editing, it's not gimmicky, no cartoon inserts and that fact that you don't film a hundreds of different angles of you doing the same thing (for example: there are no 10 different angle shots of you "schooshing" a window just to wipe it). Your videos are real. I love the book recommendations, the decluttering, cleaning all your ideas...they all work. Thank you.
Diane you are the brightest spot in my week. I had a close family death this week and I really was ready for some Diane in Denmark and her long distance hugs. Just trying to keep my head up this week. ❤
My sincere condolences
Hold on to your happy memories, let that be your guiding strength.
❤
Self care Mission #1 drank water in a nice goblet, added electrolytes packet to make it “fancier” 😊
you make my day. I am still having cancer treatments so today I do not have much energy. I am cleaning slowly and taking alot of breaks. But I am getting things done.
Best to you. I hope you ask for help when and if you can.
Woke up sick at 3 a.m. My self-care is laying on the couch today. 🤑
Don't forget to drink your water! Hope you feel better soon.
Get well soon
Get well soon 😊
Thank you!
I will do all four self-care missions. The only one I don’t do regularly is thinking of a calm place. I look forward to that one.
I’m grateful for 1) my family, 2) the smell of lilacs & freshly cut grass. 3) for my neighbor’s St Bernard. I have an affinity for that breed, brings back happy memories of childhood.😊
Thank you for your videos.
I am grateful for my garden, spring cherries, and the warm sunshine and fresh outdoor air. I filled up my water glass with more chilled water and did an easy leg stretch.
I am going to do all four! I’m grateful for the summer birds that serenade us, for extra time with friends and family, and for the delicious foods that are at their peak right now 😊
Grateful for extra time with the kids for the summer, summer fruit (eating some cherries for self care treat) and a few minutes by myself before the kids got up to enjoy my morning coffee on the porch. Thanks for the reminder that self care doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming ❤
I love the happy and positive vibes of your videos. Thanks Diane
1. I am grateful for a bright, quiet apartment, 2. I am grateful for my family and friends, 3. I am grateful that I was able to significantly improve my health through a vegan diet. I read for at least 2-3 hours every evening, which has been a ritual for me since childhood that I like to cultivate. I'm listening to Jane Eyre for housework, so it's possible to work in a relaxed way. Since I drink up to 3 liters of water every day, I exchange that for a nice cup of tea in the afternoon. Thank you so much for your Support, have a nice weekend. Greetings from cologne Andy
Thank you Diane; I will do all 4 self-care items today and for the rest of the week. Drink water, log 3 things of gratitude, move or stretch and visualize a calm and relaxing place. Great selection. 💚🤍
Three things I’m grateful for…
My new car (second hand but new to me), my house, my friends 😌
I like all your self-care missions this week, so I'm going to spread them all out over the week! Love seeing the Swedish summer house, especially the dock and the ocean!
I am grateful for my husband, my cat and that I am still able to play guitar in a bluegrass band - have been playing guitar for 57 years! Even I can't believe it! Thank you, Diane, for all your encouraging words and videos. Love the Swedish cabin.
Yay! Sounds great!
Grateful for my lovely friends who I caught up with on Thursday (thanks to last week's prompt!), for a day to myself coming up on Tuesday, and for a decent night's sleep 😊
I love Hygge Friday videos from you. I am thankful for my husband, our home, and good health. Truly blessesd.
Diane, you look beautiful in pink. I drink water, but not enough. Thanks for the reminder. ❤ I will do all 4. Great recommendations.
#2
I'm grateful that it is early summer! My schedule is lighter and we have sunshine but cool, pleasant temperatures.
I have gratitude that I'm feeling better after a long bout with seasonal allergies.
I give thanks that we had a wonderful graduation celebration for my daughter. Life is good!
I love that you said, "Grotty" Where I'm from, we pronounce it, "Grody." I looked up both words just now, and they have the same meaning. "Grody to the max!" In my best valley girl impersonation!! Thanks for keeping us on track with our habits & self-care. Happy weekend!
I've chosen option: glass of water and thinking about things I'm grateful for. Evening routine is done and I'm going to enjoy the quiet time 😊
I will do 1,2, and 3.- I try to drink water, but so often forget.
I do have a gratitude journal, but soften I forget to write something down. I am grateful to still be here at age 83. I am grateful for my step-children, I miss my husband, but I am so grateful for the 40 years we shared together.
I will try to do some stretching for my exercise.
Thanks you Diane for reminding us to care for ourselves.
Drinking water! I hand painted a wine glass at an event in 2022. The glass had been sitting in my cabinet since then, only being used on occasion. I decided to make it my "water goblet" and now use it daily. It brightens my day to see the cute orange fox and bright flowers that I painted on it. It's a fun way to maintain my water intake.
Ok! I've drunk the water! Here's my 3 things: my comfy chair, my cat sleeping in my lap, and the heater on, this first gloomy day of winter. I've just visualised a couple of calm places. And i will do some stretches when my cat is done sleeping! Thanks, Diane. I do find the selfcare difficult, but these were easy!
Thankful for you, Diane, and my walking buddy, Judy, and good health to get around! Blessings on your weekend.
Grateful that my husband is recovering, and the long summer days. About the stretching, I found chair yoga on RUclips, the calm place and stretching together.
Hi Diane, I'm on catch up as I've been away for a couple of days to a friends.
Mission 2
1: lm grateful for everything new day.
2: Grateful to my friends and family who have been such a great support to me.
3: Grateful for my faith , which gets me through life.
Ps 4: Grateful to you for also helping me through life ❤🎉🎉🎉
Water, movement and gratitude! Need to declutter my mugs and glasses so it’s a perfect time to choose a drinking vessel that makes me smile and feels good in my hand ❤
Happy June to you and your many grateful subscribers ❤❤❤
Sending get well wishes to the hubby. My family and I have been ill off and on, for about a month...and we had something else before this one! Desperate lurgies hereabouts (North London). I am grateful for just waking up each day, for my family and pets, and for the new day stretching ahead and the possibilities, opportunities and joys it may bring! Much love x
I’m late with being able to watch your video as it is already Sunday. But it was all good because I was preparing for a party and a vacation coming up! So very grateful for my husband, my home, and the beautiful hummingbirds at our feeder - true glimmers! Thank you, Diane!
2nd comment here but also wanted to say grateful for all the info you give on Copenhagen because it has helped me so much planning our trip for spring/summer 2025! A boat tour is the first thing we will do ❤
Love the easy self care missions! 💧 🤸♀️🏝️❤️
I am grateful that I can spend my lunch breaks sunbathing in my backyard. I am grateful for my wonderful local library system. And I am grateful for YOU, Diane!
I'm grateful for the beautiful weather here in New York and the hydrangea outside that's about to bloom!
Easy self care list since I already do all four daily. I’m a big water drinker, do a mental gratitude list before I get out of bed, stretches before coffee, and visualization during meditation. Thank you for your encouragement. You make me feel cared for by your choices.
I have read the Anastasia Hastings books, too. Love them! My self care will be paying attention to the plants in our atrium and sprucing them up and adding some flowers to the mix. It needs rearranging and sometimes I get so used to seeing it I stop seeing it, you know what I mean? It needs some love!
🙋🇳🇱 Thank you for all your good advise Diane🙏🍀This week I felt so overwhelmed 🤯Everything from work to care for my parents and from household duties to hobby seemed like a big deluge🌊. I even got confused in the flylady zones🙃😳. I am glad I kept commenting your posts 🤗✒️. And your videos and reactions felt like a big encouragement🤩
Your 10 minute rule ⏲️really kept me going🏄. And guess what: I really did a lot!💪💃🎉 And now I feel back on track again. 🎢Feels like surviving a rollercoaster. 🙏
Hi, Diane, thank you for sharing and answering. It’s my 'tea time' with you and the other subscribers. Love to read the comments, too. 1 and 3 are no challenges for me: the whole family is making fun of me and my water bottle… since childhood I just like water. And number 3~ in my bathroom is a stretching plan, just 1(!) minute to go through my body and add some exercises if necessary. Firm habits. I choose gratefulness, because I too easy forget about that. I’m grateful for always having a book I’m interested in. I’m grateful to live at a place where I can read outside, watching plants and flowers, having my tea pot and a nice snack. I’m grateful to have my senses, so I can enjoy hearing the birds singing, watching them flying around, feeling the grass under my feet and can speak about that to others. Love, Monika❣
I am grateful for you and this channel!!!, I am drinking water!!!, I stretched!!! and my happy place is a quaint little town down the road from us (planning a trip to the county fair there this summer!) Rah, rah, rah!!!🎈🎈🎈❤❤❤ Hope that your hubby feels better real soon....
Self care this weekend: water for sure; grateful for our apartment, dear neighbours, full pantry. Hugs
Working on the drinking more water!
We have had a rough month. We returned from 4 months from our second home in Florida. The garage door was, the heating and AC was dead, the hot water heater was living on borrowed time. We had plays and concerts, taking my mom to various appointment, we had various doctor appointments, getting our large garden in shape, husband had hip replacement. The heating and AC have been out 5 times in May and garage door people out 3 and need to comeback with a replacement circuit board. Behind in everything. Slowly it will get done.
This video feels even more personal and intimit. Thank you. Im grateful for it.
Thanks for an encouraging video! You inspired me to do all four self-care ideas. Here's my grateful list: 1) Books in all forms, 2) Some free time to dream, and 3) the performing arts. I hope your husband feels better soon.
Thanks! Will do nr 1, drink some water from a nice glass. Gratitude list (nr2): my family and that we have managed to raise two girls that are in the late teens now. Our home where we now lived for 19 years, in my eyes the house is still new (it was 19 years ago). My energy is the last! Thanks for sharing Diane!!
Today - so much to be grateful for! I’m on vacation on Cape Cod, US; my son got his first professional job and my mother got hearing aids (and is happy about it)! What a ☺️ day!
My gratitude list sunshine freshly cut grass and hugging my dog self care mission no 1 and no 3 have a lovely weekend ❤❤
I'm grateful for my husband also my daughter and her husband that only live 2 hours away now that we moved across country to live closer to them. I'm also thankful that we have a church near by.
Mission 2: gratitude. Glad I found your channel, glad I found a doctor who knows how to treat my disease, and glad that I have enough strength to do my routines. Thank you so much for your uplifting videos. 🌻
I will do all four self care missions this week. Thank you for answering my question about visiting Copenhagen 🇩🇰 and for always motivating me. You’re the best Diane! 💞
I'm going to visualise a calming waterfall scene for a few minutes when I'm feeling stressed. Thanks for your interesting video.
Easy enough to do all 4 missions, with my focus on #4 🏝️ Grateful for an easy weekend, a full panty (making some soup to share with my Love), and that living downtown gives me easy access to the Farmers Market and a festival ( the parade goes right by my window!). Hope your Hubby feels better soon! 🤧
What I'm grateful for today: Finding your post! Finally being strong enough to do my weekly home blessing. The temperature being just right for me--13C!
❤
Grateful for my family , your video, afternoon nap
I'm so grateful to be finally healed after a surgery and planning to visit family near the beach soon! Looking forward to travel and holiday tips 🎉❤ thank you for everything you do Diane

I choose the first one. I always drink too less or in a rush. I have to tell my kids often they have to drink, but I’m not a really good example for them so; yes… i will put a nice glass on the table and start tomorrow. Enjoyed your video. Thank you again, looking forward to the summer videos! Bye!
I am loving all 4 of the self care things! I willl attempt to do them all each day. I love water, gratutide journal, I have one on going. Stretching is my exercise of Choice. with my calm, I go out in out woods and look around!
I was feeling like I need to focus more on self care but then I realized I do missions 1-3 daily. Going to do mission 4, and be more mindful in how I am caring for myself when I do the others.
I’ll do 1 each day for the self care but the water every day ! Thanks for your motivation
I'm grateful for my two lovely daughters, my allotment and my health. I'm also going to stretch and drink more water. I'm also grateful I found your youtube channel Diane you have made a huge difference in my life and alway cheer me up
and inspire me, thank you.
We're on vacation, and just attended our daughter's graduation. Grateful for hubby and being retired and able to take a trip, but ready to go home to my Fly Lady routines, haha! Thank you Diane for sharing everything about your sweet little cabin! Also water and stretching are on my self care radar this week.
3 I’m thankful for: I found your channel. 2. I talked to a friend and we made a plan to get together in spring of 25. 3. When I came home from work my husband was here and I got to chat with him and hold his hand.
I’m trying to do more stretching! It is always the goal!
I loved the canal tour with my Danish friend many years ago. He’s taken a few of our mutual friends on that trip there since. I once had a few days in Bornholm so we went over the bridge and I was very excited. Also one of my favourite places was Glyptotek art gallery museum. There are so many lovely galleries in Copenhagen. My self care this week will be number 1, water and also a trip to Burton Agnes Hall with my hubby. I think I will invite my friend to come with us as she’s coming to stay again on Friday as we’re taking part in Open Studios again. I’m grateful for the company of my little dog.
Things I'm thankful for:
1. My wonderful family
2. My new found confidence
3. You and your videos, Diane!
Wonderful!
Hello again Diane, your self care missions really resonated with me this week. This year I’ve been setting an intention for the month and it’s amazing how, after that time, you can develop habits. In January I decided to have a 20 minute walk daily, getting some peace, calm and fresh air. February was to drink a pint of water as soon as I get up (before my cup of tea). In March I decided to do 10 minutes of gentle yoga daily, which I do in the morning before getting dressed. April was to do 20 minutes of meditation daily. May was to be more mindful of eating healthily. Today is the 1st June so I shall be setting my intention later today. I’m still drinking my water every morning and most days I’m having a walk, doing my yoga and meditating. Love your videos, and thank you so much for your dedication to this channel. It brings me (and many others) so much joy 🤩🙏
Three things I am very grateful for: 1. My two grandsons, one who was only born on Friday 24 May and the other one who will be 5 in a few weeks. They are both wonderful and I love being a grandma. 2. I love my home and I’m very grateful that I live close to my daughter and her family. 3. You, Diane I’m very grateful that I found you a few years ago. You simplify household tasks and it’s always a joy to watch your videos.
Gratitude: flowers, my cat, books
Thank you Diane for your wonderful quick self care missions.
Thank you so much for another inspiring video. I am grateful today for my patio with flowers blooming, for our beautiful low-humid few days, and for my parents still healthy and active in their 90's.
Great easy self-care tasks! I am doing all four this week. Besides my family and friends, I am grateful for morning birdsong, peonies in bloom, and houseguests arriving tomorrow. Thank you, Diane! 🦋🦋🦋
I'm thankful for a new month filled with opportunities to thrive, the beautiful pink peonies I bought a few days ago, and my husband who fills my days with love and laughter. And, I'm thankful for you, Diane, and the joy and inspiration you bring me each week!
I'm grateful for my husband, my kids and the upgrades we've been able to do to our house lately.
Drank a nice, cold glass of water on my front porch - and saw a hummingbird float by! I LOVE that summer is here! Thanks for your wonderful videos, Diane!
I’m grateful for my husband of 18 years, my two children and my Catholic faith ❤
I'm grateful for my garden, recent answers about health issues (and a plan going forward), and time to watch some shows- like Bridgerton!
Thank you Diane, this is just the kick start I needed for summer! I just wrote my summer list. I am a teacher and was so busy just making it to the end of the school year and big family events (graduations, birthdays). I really didn't have a plan for summer, but now I have more of an idea to plan out. For self care, I will focus on stretching!
I think I will challenge myself to do them all.
Hope your DH is on the mend. I stretch every day, pretty good with drinking water and express gratitude daily however, I don’t write it in a journal. Some years ago we visited a National Trust Garden in England and it was so beautiful that I often visualize it. The flowers were spectacular and I remember sitting on a bench among a field of lavender while swans were swimming in a small pond with the warm sun on my body. Although it was September it was a beautiful warm day. I would love to see it during the changing seasons, especially in the fall and also at Christmas.
Hi Diane! I'm grateful for my good health, my family and my Merlin Bird ID app which is SO satisfying ( even though my kids roll their eyes at me when I talk about birds...)😄 Thanks for another great video!
Happy Friday! I'm drinking my water while watching your video! I am thankful for beautiful weather today, my hubby, and my no work weekend! Catch you Monday!
I chose #2😊
I am grateful for all the loving support I have received since I broke my arm.
The sweetest Goldenen Retriever "Puppy", ever! weighing in at almost 34 kilos and full of love 😂
Also, our extra garden plot "Stückle " with all its fruit trees and plenty of room for vegies and flowers. (My little getaway)
Thank you again, Diane, for another delightful video ❤
