Here's the Indigogo campaign if you want to support, still some great discounts to be had here, def the cheapest these lenses will ever be laowa-tiniest-anamorphic-lens.kckb.st/815a07aa . I have three more videos using these Nanomorphs with other cameras and systems in the next few weeks, I'm really pleased with the looks, and I don't mind correcting the Pin cushon, its an east trade off for me If you want to use them full frame, here's the free Davinci Resolve Presets makeartnow.com/buymystuff
I’ll say it’s got a lot of crackle in it. Like it was speed changed with an old OLD plugin then changed back… with same crappy plugin. LOL Still great content though.
At the 2:30 mark the audio sounds poppy. Any idea what caused that? I only noticed it because usually your production quality is near flawless. That aside, thank you for keeping us updated on anamorpic lenses. They are a blast to use.
Josh, this is one of those videos you occasionally do that goes right over my head because I know nothing about the this's and the that's of robot lenses and space filters, but I watched the video anyway because it's just so god damn beautiful. I don't know how you make these movie theater videos, but you do and my hat's off to you, man. You are the #1!
BTW. I saw a video where someone place a brown paper bag next to one of these Hornet's nest. And because they are very territorial, they think the paper bag is another nest and pretty soon they leave on their own. I haven't tested that, but if you ever encounter another one, it might be worth a try.
The anamorphic lens video was interesting to watch even though this is one fo the products not on my priority list...but the hornet segment??!? That was hilarious blasting them with air in slowmo.... Great vid again Josh and kudos to Mrs. Yeo!
That was a very enjoyable watch. Way to take something boring and make it fun. I'm watching on my iPhone through the speaker, so audio seemed fine to me 😂
Great video, looks like these Laowa lens work great on the DJI 4D. Any luck putting these lens on the Inspire 3? Would the auto focus work like it does on the 4D? Seeing what your thoughts are. Great videos!
Way to go with the shopvac...I'm going to go with you planned it all along to blast them with air instead of vacuuming...because otherwise how would you be able to capture such awesome video of "Killer Bees"? Can't wait for Part II! Aren't there bee specialists in your area for bee removal?
It kinda surprises me that it looks like you aren’t familiar with the already existing Sirui 1.6x lenses and 1.25x adapter making it a 2.0x? Which is just as affordable (or cheaper). Maybe I got the wrong impression here but the way you talked about this being so unique makes it look like you didn’t know. But yes they 27mm and 50mm are very very small! (Also Sirui got the Saturn 35mm and 50mm)
I own the Saturn. Hate the color shift and blue coating. Works for night shots and that's about it. Didn't specify the brand but was talking about Siriu.
Currently doing my first aid certificate for work (in Australia) and one of things that is encouraged is to try to give the patient privacy. Of course you weren't the first aider so that wouldn't apply to you.
Some huge optical flaws (CA on your charts and alignement) are hugely present. That computer screen gets double images. That's too wild to use for a professional set up in my own opinion. I hope for more interesting flares (secondary / spherical flares, rainbows when wide open), barrel distortion, and no double images. Let's see for MK2 !
Wow. If that adaptor works with 50mm gm, im gonna love it. When anamorphics hav so much scope in camera world - why these sony and all make their own anamorphic gmaster lenses.
Yeah it totally worked. Very sharp, but still dreamy too. The only issue is you have to use the AF to hit infinity, then toggle aff off in the menu or flip the AF switch on side of lens. The GM lens must be set to infinity, and then you use the front adapter to pull focus manually. But it looked gorgeous.
You are not a Loser.😀 You have a family, and you help your wife provide for your family. You also made the right judgement call not to film your wife. She was busy with a lot to manage in a stressful environment. I work on an ambulance in the UK and I'm not a big fan of being filmed while I'm at work, by bystanders. You made an empathetic and compassionate judgement call. But let's not ignore the fact, your wife was a genuine hero while pregnant.😀
why would you use 2x anamorth if you're not gonna use cinema screen? in general cheap anamorphic look sucks , mostly its a toy not a real instrument in my opinion...
Your chanell is likely the absolute WORST for my undiagnosed but strongly suspected ADD. LOL. Your production quality alone has me wanting to spend days playing with these lenses finding gold in all the visuals that distract me everyday around the city. Curious what Camera you would pair these with. The GH6 has been stuck in the back of my head for a while. Love that you are a catch and release guy when it comes to living things, even if it is to keep on the Mrs' good side! 👍 I always start commenting while still watching the video and then something new will happen, it was that nest at first it spawned my return to this comment to applaud your consideration in most other cases for saving life, but then after I hit post, she actually saves a human life? How much EXTRA can you fit in one video? LOL. Between you and her your kids are going to have the best stories to tell about growing up.
Dude, 2x anamorphic lenses are designed for 4:3/6:5 capable cameras. Not 16:9 sensors. Those super super wide desqueezed clips in this video are a joke. Get your hands on a bmpcc 4K/6k and shoot with something 2x lenses were designed for.
Creates an interesting look, but so do many 30 year old vintage lenses. And many of those can be had for $30. Not particularly impressed with the image quality to price ratio. 🤷♂ Nice work as always.
They are cool and I get it but honestly I just don’t like anamorphic. I never liked pulling focus on them and tbh just don’t like the look of them overall, with the caveat that some of my all time favorite movies are shot in anamorphic. 🤨 So honestly, I just don’t know what I want creatively anymore, so I am just going to go eat some peyote and go into the winter night desert and reflect on this cognitive dissonance in my life….
Changing batteries is pretty much the same thing as saving someone's life except for the saving someone's life part.
Your wife is truly a hero!

I am watching this in a audio studio, is anyone else feeling the audio phasing a small bit?
No Idea what that means to be honest, but the audio sound a bit crackly for me. Noticed that on other videos from him too
I’ll say it’s got a lot of crackle in it. Like it was speed changed with an old OLD plugin then changed back… with same crappy plugin. LOL Still great content though.
@@dallasroberts3206 always amazed with his work
the first time I watched a video form him, I thought my audio interface was messed up@@dallasroberts3206
yes
Life saving video. Literally!
I have been waiting for this!
Turn on horizontal level in camera, shine a light into lens, and match horizon line with lens flare. Voila.
or Laowa can put a simple white dot on the lens.
9:23 yes please do a video on the adapter alone!

I love how deep you went on these, per usual. Great work!
You went deep on this one, the adapter looks sweet

4:14 The adopter! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You're not loser, your wife such a Grey's Anatomy vibe! 🤣🤣🤣
Really like how you put this together! Great job breaking everything down, made for an enjoyable and informative watch :)
Heck yeah!!!! Let’s go!!!
Fantastic, on all accounts. At least you know you and your kids are in great hands.
mad respect to your wife 💪
can tell you love these lenses by how passionately you spit when talking hahahahah another great video.
That was a very enjoyable watch. Way to take something boring and make it fun. I'm watching on my iPhone through the speaker, so audio seemed fine to me 😂
Can you do a whole video on just the adapter? Thanks.
I agree, I bought this set in PL mount. Quite good. Can't wait to get the new lenses
amazing video as always!!
Are you going to make an s5ii video?
Need a studio tour, looks so cool
note, the EF, PL versions use a different optical formula, and are bigger than the mirrorless versions.
The barrel distortion can be corrected thru software. Laowa should invest in it and distribute the software.
You guys are awesome… you and your wife bro 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

I’m listening and I’m like damn that’s dope but that studio behind you tho! Lol
How well did the laowa anamorphic adapter work with the Helios lens? Very curious about this combination
Awesome breakdown! Also, how much of a pain is it to dual focus?
Could you do some text with the adapter on 50mm?
i mean test
Cool! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
You put the Helios 44 lens , but what was the problem you do see with it ? the only 1sec you post look ok..
What if you mount the lens the right way but the sensor is vertical? All that squeeze will fit more info on the sensor...
Aren't these lenses S35 sizes? How to work this lens to a full frame sensor without losing much sensor size?

Is it just me or is the audio a lil bit weird? Its kinda cracking
Same here. But awesome video anyway
Yes definitely the audio sounds very strange
0:50 I can get behind a sentiment like that
it's not 4 times diopter, not 4+ diopter, but a +4 diopter - it's a unit of optical power
Will this adapter fit on their other Nanomorphs?
Eyo! Your sellfy links in the description seem to be broken. Did you move your shop?
Also, do you sell luts for the Mini 2? I'd love that.
Love it. Good to see ya man. And, uh, good luck with the death hornets 🐝
Have you tried the Blazar 1.5x adapter? It’s not bad . Not as sharp as the Aviascope 1.5x but a good lighter option.
What's up with your audio being distorted?
How can you be a loser? You are married to a hero! Thats winning in my book. Oh and thanks for another great informative video!

Audio clipping?
Those are beautiful shots of the hornets, but.... Nope, nope, nope. LOL.
Big applause to your (congrats) pregnant wife for saving that man's life!! Amazing!!
make a video about all of your lenses!!
Why do almost all shots look tilted
I blame you for making me order the entire set. You're a bad influence. lol
hahahaha the pain, of "i filmed none of it"
wait idk if im tripping but did you use ai for your voice in this video 👀

Dji lidar can help ? But it should rotate the adaptor which is far from lens !
Why the audio sound so bad on this video?
2:49 some kinda distortion
its insane the laowa is dropping an adapter with 1.33x squeeze thats half the price of the moment one lmaoooo
the audio is weird? i feel like when you talk you are holding a phlegm in your throught??
The 80mm on the Inspire with the 2x anamorphic? Nah, don't even try.
2:48 wtf?
