Lyrics:
Try to let go but you won’t let me
So I’m closed off hating all I see
Play the victim so carelessly
You’re addicted to uncertainty
You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can’t escape the bitterness I can’t change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me
Try to hold back, all the anger
But it’s a trigger and I can’t relax
Losing focus on the things you lack
So you push me the brink
And I don’t know what is next
You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can’t escape the bitterness I can’t change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me
Lowest of the low
I’m so fucking high
Sever all ties
I don’t recognize what I’ve become
Thread is pulled
You’ve made an animal
You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can’t escape the bitterness I can’t change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me

This song sounds like it's straight out of the early 2000s, and I love it.
Sounds like a Break The Cycle lost track.
@@sadboi7537 Sounds a bit more like 14 Shades lost track. Just because of the textures. Either way, great song.
100% and it’s unreal
everything early 2000s is coming back. baggy clothes, nu metal, rap and rock artists on the same bills, its great
@@sadboi7537 Reminded me of Open Your Eyes in the verse
Finally a band staying true to their sound and putting out music just as good as the early 2000's 🤘🤘
@Mike Davis yes because being able to play a solo is the true mark a talented musician. Dude are you 12?
New Sevendust rules as well.
@Mike Davis
Both of y'all need to get your ears checked
They had a shit ton of musicianship back then, and this sounds like 2000s Staind flavored LaCroix
The harmonies of the chorus sound so corny and predictable that they were prolly spat out of an AI
Shinedown is still at it! Album after awesome album 👍👍👍
@@reaj2010 they are great but honestly haven’t loved anything after sound of madness
This is the Staind we all know and love. With this and the unreleased Linkin Park songs that have been coming out, I feel like I'm back in Freshman year of High School discovering my favorite bands all over again.
Static-X released previously unheard tracks after Wayne's death. Worth a listen for sure.
Unreleased Linkin Park songs!? Where !?
@@bestchessplayercuzimpro.1123one of the new ones is called Lost.
Did I just time travel back to the late 90’s / early 00’s when rock was still good? Because this a damn banger! Love it guys!
Yes we did brother!!!!!❤
@@T-MoniEBankS The Beginning Intro Of The song Sounds Like Static X The Only.
Yes, sire. We did and I'm so happy.
This song is arguably better live too. Aaron absolutely killed it on tour when I seen them a couple of months ago.
About damn time… can’t wait for the new record. These guys are life changing
Yeah, It's been awhile.
Feels like it’s so far away.
The waits almost been tormented.
The whole time, I've been right here waiting
feels like Yesterday they were out kickin and makin the best music right before our eyes
It's great to hear THIS sound so many years later. It fills a space. Welcome back guys, it's like you never left.
2:10-2:29… pure chills and goosebumps! Welcome back my friends, it’s been a long 12 years
( 👄 )
That bridge is pure “Nu-Metal” goodness, and I mean that in the BEST possible way. Long live Staind, my gateway band.
@@Divine_Serpent_Geh no kidding! It’s phenomenal
I wanted to comment that they had one more album, but holy shit, that was it, 2011, 12 years ago. My brain just broke.
Holy crap. I got chills reading this comment but once it got to 2:10 my arms tingled with chills and goosebumps
This album I need.. whenever depression darkens my life, Staind had been there to revive me. Can't wait for its release
Fuck depression - hit me up anytime you need. We are all brothers fighting together.

Life isn't all sunshine and roses. It's not what happens to you in life(stuff will anyway), it's how you react to it.
it's where I go to release my anger and sadness I'm 44 and this shit is my soul music
This is badass! Staind has always been a massive part of my childhood and I'm so glad you guys are still making music. God bless you guys!❤

I absolutely love this!!!
Holy shit! Finally some new Staind! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This song sounds like it could have been on Chapter V! Been a fan of Staind and Aaron's since 2000! So excited to hear more new Staind songs!!
I agree, could've been on either Chapter V or The illusion of progress. It also has a bit of 14 shades of grey vibes in there too.
I agree have been a fan since the beginning 👊👊🎸🎸🎸✌️✌️🙌🙌🙌
@@the1trunawf801 Thank You Sirius XM Octane.
YEEEEESSSSSSSSS I feel like I just went back in time 15 years 😁
What a great comeback. To the mix, new drummer, lyrics, and the amazing vocals, this song is just what they needed to come back.
Sal has been their drummer since 2011.. he was Jon's tech.. he finished the last album with them and has toured since
What new drummer?
Not new drummer watch the documentary 😊

we need a nu-metal revival.
Let's do this
Even though I can’t stand trump or even agree with Aaron on most political issues. I completely love his music 🎶 music is universal and it can get all of us together even with our political differences
@@Lifeless581 im with you here man. Im right wing but i love a lot of band that stand for different views than mine politically, but music is here to connect us , regardless. Peace!
@@triforcecarrier cheers 🍻
Not gonna lie, didn’t think we’d ever hear new Staind material again. & to be honest I’m not the biggest Staind fan, but this song is a banger! Good comeback track for the band.
Tormented, Dysfunction and Break The Cycle were albums that truly were there when i need the most, which is always I'm always been grateful for, how Aaron was able to relate millions of people around the world with his lyrics back then. All my life I've been dealing with asperger and anxiety, negative thoughts always surrounding me endlessly. So glad they finally released something new, specially when i became a better version of myself: Emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Well said.
If you are indeed a better version of yourself, I don't understand what this song does for you..
Absolutely, I’ve battled severe depression and anxiety all my life, when I bought Dysfunction and listened to it for the first time it’s like it was expressing everything I had bottled up inside, still one of favorite albums of all time, God Bless🤘
Damn, it really sounds like you described my life lol. I love staind! They got me through so much! I'm so grateful I was able to find this music!
I felt this comment
A new song that sounds like a throw back?!?!?
Vocals of newly released nostalgia?!?!?
Heck, you don't need to tell me twice, I'm all in.
Staind is something I have always gone back to. This song took me by complete surprise. Love it.
Staind with new songs since 2011. It's a dream. Staind is back stronger than ever. I'm a fan. I'm from Brazil ♥🇧🇷
Dude, I'm sobbing right now. Thank you, Staind!

Getting "Break the Cycle" nostalgia. It's um...been a while...

Man, I missed this band so much, soundtrack of my twenties!
💯
Same here! :-)
Same. Best wishes to you.
mee too
Staind got me through a lot of tough times and this song speaks to my life right now.
same man. Just barely hanging on right now
Add me to the list
Same here, lyrically relatable unfortunately
This song takes me right back to early 2000's. Love it!
Aaron and Staind still have it. Thank you for bringing heavy rock back.
Welcome back Staind!
Staind still doing it big like the 90's. Gives me shivers. I must say Aaron Lewis & Corey Taylor have two of the greatest voices of Rock/Nu-Metal of all time.
Absofknlutely!
bring out a full album with these songs man, this is GOLD
I saw the Staind notification and I immediately had to click it. This is giving me late 90s, early 2000s vibes 🤘🏼.
Staind it’s been awhile, you were so far away and I’ve been right here waiting….
Aaron is like fine wine, he gets better with time.
@beezybeez7231 I'll have to check those out, thank you!
2:21 "I don't recognize, what I've become, thread is pulled, you've made an ANIMAL!" The lead guitar, bass, drums, and vocals are perfectly reminiscent of the best Staind I grew up listening to. *Thank you* all for keeping it going.
Staind is hands down the most influential band in my life. So thankful for the chance to hear another new song. Can't wait for the album!
Daaaamn this sounds like prime Staind but has a refreshing sound to it! Some people like Aaron Lewis are just eternally good.
Yes. It’s like you know it’s a new song, but at the same time it’s old Staind through and through. This is EXACTLY what we need!
Amen. I saw him live once and he was absolutely incredible
Aaron didnt sellout, thats the biggest difference. most bands follow the labels/industry and allow it to dictate their sound
This is the early 2000s sound we love to hear 🔥🔥🔥
A one way trip straight to my sixteen's. Thank you for this, Staind. Sounds completely AWESOME. A total banger.
I've been waiting for years for these Legends to make new music hell yeah
Finally , what a perfect mix of old + Nu Staind! Didn't realize how much I missed Aaron Lewis' voice until I heard this... can't wait for the new album 🤘
Finally, my favorite band is back in the game. 🥳🥳🥳 12 years later and they’ve still got it. I’m so happy with this song and can’t wait until the rest of the album comes out. Thank you so much for this! 🥹🥹
The world needs more of this, immediately.
I had no idea Staind came back, loving this
Wow. Best new rock I've heard in years. Miss this type of music. Glad to have one of my favorites back.
This song reminds me a lot of Breaking Benjamin
Yep. Rock isn't dead at all just needs a spark. We still here I haven't listened to a new song in months but I can't stop listening to this dude
Cold is also still around and kicking ass fyi
@@kirablackstar6130 I loved Cold's stuff. I didn't know they were still putting out good stuff. I have become so disappointed in music I used to enjoy. Seems that I never hear anything I enjoy anymore.
Not bad! Sounds like classic Staind. Sometimes it is good to stick with what works and is reliable. I look forward to their new album.
Aaron Lewis is in a much better place now than he was years ago. This track definitely doesn’t come off as depressing, like their earlier material has. As much as I love Staind, I believe this will be their final album. Aaron loves the solo touring life and getting to spend time at home. Which is great, because I love his country music.
You sound just like you never left!!!!!! You saved me throu my chilled hood… I just lost my parents less then a year apart recently, could not have came back at a better time for me! Show these guys what rock should sound like!!!!
This deserves radio play Staind just made a big statement with this so many bands will come back and just ain't got it well Staind is still Staind and now we wait for the full album

WHAT A POWERFUL AND AMAZING SONG!!! 🤘😎💙
BY FAR THE BEST VOCALIST AND BAND EVER!!!! #AFL #STAIND

That breakdown though. I am 100% ready for a new Staind album.

Aaron and Maynard only singers that don’t move dance or bop. Straight serious. I love it
New Staind? F*ck yes. Welcome back, boys. One of my favorite bands of all time, and Aaron still has that voice.

I SAW HIM AT HIS ACOUSTIC SHOW AND HE WAS AMAZING!! ONE OF THE BEST LIVE SINGERS I ever heard!!
I know I'm no one, but I havnt been this impressed with Staind since I saw Mud Shovel the first time on Rock the Vote.
I just refound this band after only hearing these songs and this type of music through my dads radio on car rides as a really young kid and I distinctly remember you guys being my favorite band that my dad would play as a kid and it’s really cool to see it come full circle re-finding you guys again and then you releasing something new that brings me right back to when I was a kid sitting in the back seat. Thank you staind. I hope you guys keep going for a lot longer. (Also I’m 24 now)

New Staind? I'm here for it! loving the sound!
Staind was my favorite band as a teen. I'd damn near forgotten about them. I was having a rough time when i first heard the the break-down part of this song and it brought me to tears.
I've been hooked on Staind since I was 14 & played "break the cycle" album constantly in 2001... I'm loving this so much!!!! 😭😭💚😍🥹
I loved that album it was awesome
It's incredible how much lyrics of each Staind song can penetrate trough my soul. "Please" is my hymn, and this one guys might just take that position
Please is one of my favorites as well. Also Schizophrenic Conversations. Both of those always seem to fit how I feel. Best wishes to you! Enjoy the new music.
Thank you, I will definitely break the cycle with the new chapter of Confesiones of the fallen 😊😁... enjoy as well 🤘

lowest of low, that really is the most accurate thing to be said about life or humans .
