    Nice video. Thank you. Just that orange gas orange flexi hose should not be used like that. That should not be going through any partitions. Pex pipe should be used with the flexible pipe only for regulator and geyser connection. That pipe can fray and if you get a leak in a concealed area and you have that electrical system there, eish. I can help make that safer, and I'm in NPN. Ive also installed a fair share of @DewhotGasGeysers before (they based in Waterfall NU)

    Great review. There is not a “perfect” trailer, but this comes close - depending on family size and personal preferences. You have (had) both: Metailian vs Bush Lapa Miskruier? I understand it might be a bit unfair as the Miskruier is more of a caravan, but your opinion on storage, general built and quality and size and ease of use for your family size would be appreciated. And why you choose the one above the other. Thanks.

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 года назад +1

      Metalian had more storage space, both are impeccably built and strong! Quality on both is on par. For our family though, having a caravan is great as we enjoy the space inside for the kids and to get changed etc is much easier. Both are great to tow, the miskruier tows slightly better as it follows better.

    • @milanagel
      @milanagel 2 года назад

      Thanks. I suppose the Miskruier also sets up a bit quicker if you have to stop and just sleep. Ons is ook ‘n familie van 4, and although I love my GT Camper, as it is a pleasure to tow, we will need to upgrade soon.

    Great review of the trailer, I think Metalian make great trailers for the price.
    I love the plumbing setup, do you know where one can buy the push connect piping and fitting? lastly how is the push connect piping connected to the tanks?
    Keep up the great work!

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  3 года назад +1

      Thanks so much for watching and glad you enjoyed it. The push connect piping is mostly used for air so try a place like that, we have a place call oil power here in Durban that sells them too.
      Metalian had made up some pickup connector for the tanks so you may need to reach out to them for that.

    Thanks for the great content...I wanted to enquire on your trailer how do you seal between the ikamper and the metalian awning in case of rain. I'm thinking of ordering a metalian specced like your, and want a quick awning like metalian or bunduawn and rooftop on trailer and a 4 sleeper rooftop on my vx200 for our 4 kids....so looking at options....priority no1 is easy setup and teardown and trailer must be our base

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 года назад

      Thanks Jaen, I had a skit made up from canvas that Velcro’s on to the inside lip of the awning bracket and then comes down under the ikamper floor. The water then runs on to the roof and away from the kitchen. Might be better to explain over the phone. Drop your details on email and I’ll try assist. jasondavies@me.com
