I took delivery of the Maxi last year in September. I kitted it out with the iKamper and 270 awning. Perfect for towing. Lots of storage for me, wife and two kids. Great buy from Jason and the Team at iKamper Pietermaritzburg.
Hi. Very nice review of a very nice trailer. Could you consider weighing the trailers to confirm the "functioning" tare? Sometimes the figures quoted are way lower than anyone would ever use, as they exclude fridge, water system etc etc. Just a thought.
@@gavinsmith28 ah, I think it depends on your needs, vehicle towing capacity and budget. Trailers are usually lighter and quick to setup (if you go for the right tent and awning) whereas caravans can (usually) accommodate a family (if it's a 4 sleeper). If you need an inside living space (i.e. for extended travel) I would suggest a caravan / camper.
Really enjoyed camping in this Metalian Maxi, go check it out for yourself at Outdoor Campers! www.outdoorcampers.co.za/
Is this available for rent-to-try?

Looks like a great trailer with lots of great storage space, and easy setup. Excellent review 👍👌😊
Bud one of the best off road trailers, i have the genie with my Jimny and it top class.
Nice, I like that the Bundutec now has an anex added. Always felt that a place to get changed for longer stays was missing from quick to setup RTTs.
Made right here in Cape Town, proudly South African and a much-loved towed annex! 😊
Wow!! What a trailer. I like the features and gadgets there. Excellent
What a portable trailer 👌 , with enough space for storage. Thanks for sharing this Chris 🙌
Once again, very informative. Thanks Christoff.
Also very nice setup!👍❤
What a trailer. Awesome. Thanks for the informative video!

Nifty little trailer.......👀🤙
Thanks for sharing. Please see if you can get your hands on a “Raasblaar” from Equiped for Africa
If Outdoor Campers sell it, it will be on here
Baie nice Chris👌🏻
Can you tow this trailer with a Code B licence?
Hi, no you need an EB, have a look at the Metalian Genie instead maybe; ruclips.net/video/zqM9cCAOB88/видео.htmlsi=_jqkXySWJr0ljOrY
You didn't show the rooftop tent folding in again - that's normally the tricky part.
On this one you just press the button again and it closes. You can have a look at the actual tent at Outdoor Campers
can it accommodate a family of four and how?
You could maybe fit two small kids in the add-a-room or if you fit a trailer tent
As an owner of a Metalian, there is not much better in the bush!
Question is trailer or caravan?
This is a trailer as it doesn’t have an inside living space like a caravan
@@GetOutGO I know, I meant which to get: trailer or caravan….

Netjies.
Can I tow it with a T-Cross? 😂
I think It's quite heavy for the T-cross. Try the genie imo
T-cross max towing is 1100kg 😢 but the Genie is fine 😉
please brother chris next time give us 30 to 40 min vlogs please
These review videos don’t do well if they’re too long. Look out for a new trip video coming soon
