It should be noted this does not appear to work on Mimics from HVT/Bounty contracts. It has to be a standard one. Also, if you can kill enough zombies while letting the Mimic chase you and not killing it, you can get your Frost back and hit the same one multiple times.

WOWWW i was doing these mission and i was trying to freeze the bounty ( mimic ) i was getting so damn irritated 😂 but thx bro ! 💯
Also note that you can do it multiple times with the same mimic, freeze it, run, kill some zombies and charge the frost blast which is really easy since it charges really fast, and then go back and freeze it again

5 games in. 7 mimics in both low and medium zones. Repeated blasts… and still not one counted. So annoying. Will have to try these infested strongholds! Thanks for the tips.

Don't try and use the freeze on the bounty contract Mimics because it doesn't work on them.
Maybe make specific mention that it is a STANDARD MIMIC ONLY, I did like 30 in the last 2 days waiting for this feckin thing to work, instructions that DON’T instruct are ZERO help
I’ve tried both ways and I’ve only gotten 2. I even hvt down to one hit. Killed with frost and still didn’t get credit. It’s a bs quest that is broken. AND AGAIN THE FKN PROGRAMMERS DONT GIVE 2SHITS ABOUT OUR TIME.
I'm only looking this up because when I was doing this , it didn't count any of the mimics I froze ... I did 5 bounty contracts and it still didn't work. .. the same thing happened to me when I had to do the brain rot one but eventually the glitch fixed itself when I went into Harder zones ... this one did not . Fingers crossed it works this round 🤞

🧐🤔For me it’s not working on the mimics in infested strongholds. Froze it 5 times by killing zombies to recharge and it still says zero out of 5. Before that I had tried the HVT as well which I figured out doesn’t work. Glitch? Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Whenever I do the freeze ability it doesn't freeze them. I have 1 out of 5 and have probably done it to a total if 4 minics so far it's frustrating
It has a very low hit rate unfortunately, keep going, you'll get there!

elements won't proc on bounty targets, only regular special zombies. don't do the bounty contract

Another thing you can do for any big amout of zombies you have to kill with a field upgrade you can do an outlast contract and dont let it complete to 100 percent just run outside and there will be endless zombies
What's annoying with this is that contracts actually spawn mimics more than usual instead of manglers, yet the mimics in these contracts don't count. It's like the ultimate tease.

"Just drop it and there you go" "Easily"... I've literally spent multiple full matches dropping the frost ability on mimics and have 0 frozen mimics.
Edit: Read Justin's comment shortly after posting and found this to be accurate. HVT/Bounty Mimics are not affected by the Frost Ability.

And you never thought to do bounty contracts? Edit: never mind after doing some research and trying myself bounty mimics don’t work but ones that’s spawn in game like as in the video infected stronghold mimics work

I’ve only been getting them with bounty’s and it’s not fucking working but I read the top comment now I’m pist lol

I glitched into it. Like i was stuck under it. Lost a large bag full of legenadry gear my 3 plate and jugg killstreak
On one of our final runs, we went in with everything. Inventory full of drinks. Legendary tools. Legendary weapons. All ready for the final mission.
Server crashed on startup and we lost it all
