The beautiful river valleys, the thrilling tops, the grunty stuff between. The Tararuas have an unmistakeable look and feel. Thanks for taking me back.

Thank you for this interestingI informative video. The new building looks very good. Through the fine efforts of Wgtn Br members NZDA. I stayed here several times in the 1980's. Thank you.

Thanks for the video. Living in the UK but will be based in Masterton in a few weeks time and will use that as a base for tramping. For a short overnighter your route looks interesting and it would be readily possible to continue on to Dundas Hut and even link up to the TA and walk out to Otaki Falls, or via Cow Saddle to Cow Creek Hut. Endless possibilities but all very weather dependent! Looking forward to more inspirational videos!

Nice one mate. I've never dropped down to Roaring Stag. Been up to Herepai Hut twice but have never made Herepai summit. Tried and been turned back both times due to weather. Planning on giving it another go soon so might make it a over nighter and drop down to Roaring Stag. Thanks for the awesome vid. 👍
