I just started with Theo Jansen's holy numbers, determined the geometric limits from there.

This is like the 4th time I've seen the exact same reply in multiple video. I'm not a fan of promotional spam bots, so you get the report lmao

Awesome. One of the more interesting things I've ever seen.
I thought they were real models until about halfway through the video.
I couldn't figure out how you got the motor and the power source and the RC in those little units.

Some wonderful matrices behind all this to transform the position from one to another including rotation.
When it was going over lose stones, well at my age I can only admire the brilliant minds who can " see" further than I can.
Congratulations to all who had a hand in all this.
I am building a simple one for my grandson and I shall exhibit it at his school, hoping that no one will break it.
Congratulations once again, Brilliant work of a modern mind........... but the actual building in reality is also difficult to synthesise.

Great work! Theo Jansen's beach creatures are amazing. I've made miniature versions myself, and I once tried to simulate them with blender too. But the number of constraints made the simulation very unstable.

if somthing moves that should lift the next element. This desing is one of the type i understand it there are many other ideas behind it . this works only in the wind by air presure. No electric power required.

When you turn, the pair of legs on the outside should be moving faster than the pair on the inside. Based on the function 2*pi*r (r being distance from center)

Honestly, I think that things like the Mars Rover would do better with this kind of locomotion. It can climb over rocks like the rover can have trouble doing. Especially the ones with the many rows of legs. seems like it would be much more stable? I get this is an animation. But he got the design from Theo jansens' "Strand beests," which are real world models powered by wind. I always wondered what would happen if an engine was put on one and it was made of metal rather than wood and plastic...
