It's all learning process. I plant both in ground and on a balcony. You may want to consider the following: 1. As it is, the containers do not have enough soil. Fill the containers up to inch below the top. Roots need space to spread out, e.g. your tumeric plant has way too little soil to make new rhizomes. 2. Fertilise on a regular schedule. 3. Reduce the competition, plant less per container and give each plant enough space (and soil) to grow. 4. Measure light requirments and place according to plant requirements, add supplemental lighting if you can. 5. Plant varieties which crop or fruit earlier and can cope with low light levels e.g. dwarf / cherry / grape tomatoes. Leafy vegetables perform better as fruting and rooting vegetables require more light. Hope this helps ... Happy gardening !!!
Fry the sage leaves individually after dunking them in a simple batter of flour, salt and water. You’ll thank me later - think of cleansing from the inside 😜🤣❤️
Claudia I love your garden🌾🌻🪴! Don't look at it as a failure, it is a learning experience. I just started planting stallions for the first time. It was so easy and they grew soo fast! I was so proud of myself. I would like to grow blueberries 🫐 after I saw your plant. Are they perennials? Love your decorating with the 🎃 🎃 ,especially the large bumpy one. Your balcony garden gives me inspiration!! Keep on planting!!😊😊🫒🌶🍍
Thank you! 🙏🏻 🥰 Yes, I’m trying to look at it as a learning experience… blueberry plants🫐 go dormant and come back every year! It’s a great addition to the garden! 👌🏻
Your garden is charming don't get discouraged this summer which has been poor for many people in various areas. I grow in a postage stamp backyard all in pots myself, garlic does really well in pots, so good luck!
Bonjour, merci pour votre vidéo apaisante. Votre jardin automnale est magnifique🌱💚Votre maison est magnifique et chaleureuse. J'adore vos deux chiens, magnifiques et heureux. 🫠🐶🐶💙💙Bon dimanche 😘
dear Claudia, your videos are so calming. The autumn balcony is enchanting. I saw how much effort and love you put into your balcony garden. In my opinion, you could sow or plant a little fewer types of vegetables. I find it a bit too crowded and the plants get in the way of growing. They also take away each other's light. That's just my opinion, I don't have a balcony garden but I have a large vegetable garden with lots of lawn all around. Don't give up and continue to have fun with and on your balcony garden. I always look forward to your videos. Warm greetings from Germany.
Thanks so much for your sweet words and suggestions 🙏🏻🥰 it definitely is crowded here.. I tried to bite more than I could chew for sure and squeeze a much as possible but that didn’t work out… I’ll be making some changes next year though ❤️ Have a lovely week!
I wouldn't see it as a failure Claudia, your garden is beautiful and remember that a feast for the eyes is as important as a feast for the plate, in my opinion anyway haha! If you've enjoyed sitting out there this summer then it's a win😊It was my first time trying to grow vegetables this year and I hardly got any harvest from it either, it is disheartening when you've put so much effort in raising them from seed. It rained so much here in the UK everything got mildew & blight, but we can't control the weather or the onslaught of slugs or growing lack of pollinators, some things are just out of our hands no-matter how much care and work we put in. I really enjoyed my relatively easy to grow flowers this year like sweet peas and sunflowers 🌻Your Fall garden transformation is absolutely beautiful and giving me inspiration for my own garden 🎃✨
Muchas felicidades , pudiste lograr recoger algo, maravilloso,yo nunca y logrado nada de lo que siembro.muy linda la decoración de Otoño es una temporada muy hermosa.❤❤
Even if you didn't get a huge harvest you ot to enjoy greenery and life thriving on your patio and that in itself makes it worth it! I think a lot of people are in the same shoes this year...out of 4 butternut squash plants I got ZERO! Last year I planted in the same spot and got enough to last through the entire winter.something with the weather this summer was different. I see you are making pesto...I have such a hard time taking my basil plant to do that...I want it to stay green and lush forever😂 I better harvest it though before the colder evening harvest it for me HA HA
thanks for this beautiful video, it´s just what I needed after a bad and stressful weekend, thank you so much, just watching it I can feel myself relaxing and feeling happy.
Been there, done that, but I keep trying with porch plants, too. I had a jalapeño plant in a pot that did quite well this year. You still had a lush, beautiful garden all season!!
Do you keep a garden journal - of what you planted and the results? It will be a helpful learning resource. Also-for next year after harvest-if you leave the roots in the soil, they will break down and add nutrients . I also chop the leaves and leave them on top to decompose ( aka compost) throughout the winter.
Thanks for the tips! 🙏🏻😄 I sort of have a garden journal.. I wrote down everything I planted and the dates and type of soil… I kept track of how the seedlings did but after I transplanted everything outside, I didn’t write anything down… but I still remember so I will do it now, thanks for the recommendation! ❤️❤️
Hi Claudia! You’re not alone with garden failures 😂. All the different squash plants I planted got taken out by the borers.. Was able to get one full squash out of about 10 squash plants😩😂. None of my dragon peas produced a thang just got aten up. Not gonna give up tho💪🏽😂.
You're doing great. You're thoughtful. But your containers have very little earth in them, they are filled up to half. Add earth and make bakashi and everything will go much better.Change containers to deeper ones.Low containers for flower and herbs.Vegetables need to deelop a root system to produce fruit. Good luck.
Oh wauw! Your video was so relaxing to watch ☺ Loved to see all the pumpkins 🎃and your video is just so cozy! Just my style. You now have a new subscriber from Denmark, the land of Hygge- coziness 🌸🤗
