You should have made the fritters soak the syrup than it'll increase in size and it becomes very very soft to just melt in your mouth ....that's how my Maa makes it.....try someday ❤
@@tomoe7255 There are pretty much sweet items made from different types of lentils. Moog puli (bong eats has a video), amriti, moong dal halwa, dal barfi, laddoo and so on. 🙂
The batter is quite heavy. It may put a lot of load on the motor. So, be careful. It works well on a sturdy stand mixer with a paddle attachment because those have stronger motors.
If we decide to use liquid Nolen Gur instead sugar, could you recommend the amount to be used? And would the amount of water still remain the same? If not, what would be the measurement of Nolen Gur and water for the syrup?
The dal paste is a but too heavy and sticky to do it by hand using a wire whisk. For the same reason it may overload the motor of most hand mixers. If you try, be careful to not burn out the motor.

I have eaten so many south indian food.. this is only thing I came to know today...that medu wada is eaten by dipping into sugar syrup.!!! Same wada/bonda is sunk in Sambhar, Rasam and even sweetened curd. And I believe that's why we are Indians..😂😂😂
