    For those who are not familiar how much time it takes to whisk it properly, just add a small dollop in a glass of water....if it floats, then you are good to go. Add a pod or two of small ilaichi (cardamom) in the sugar syrup.
    It consumes a lot of oil....the more light and airy, the more it will consume oil to fry. Hence if you are doing it in batches, refill the oil in your wok.

    We make rosh bora with moong dal. It consumes less oil than biuri dal bora n tastes more yummy. Will try biuri daal bora surely. Looks yumm.

    I could feel the cruchiness when you bit into it😅 and thanks for introducing the variety of Bengoli sweets to us🎉 Otherwise, our knowledge about Bengoli sweets was limited to Mishti doi, Sondesh and chomchom 😊 I tried after watching your videos Pithe and Patishapta at local Bengoli sweets shop in Pune and loved it 😊

    You should have made the fritters soak the syrup than it'll increase in size and it becomes very very soft to just melt in your mouth ....that's how my Maa makes it.....try someday ❤

      @@tomoe7255 There are pretty much sweet items made from different types of lentils. Moog puli (bong eats has a video), amriti, moong dal halwa, dal barfi, laddoo and so on. 🙂

      @@06musicfan No. Jilipi/jalebi is made from slightly fermented refined flour. Amriti is made from lentils (biulir dal / kolai er dal)

    Question : can i use electric hand mixer for the air incorporating part??

      The batter is quite heavy. It may put a lot of load on the motor. So, be careful. It works well on a sturdy stand mixer with a paddle attachment because those have stronger motors.

    If we decide to use liquid Nolen Gur instead sugar, could you recommend the amount to be used? And would the amount of water still remain the same? If not, what would be the measurement of Nolen Gur and water for the syrup?

    Can we use hand whisker/hand mixer used to fluff cream or egg sugar mix in a cake batter? That incorporates lots of air too?

      The dal paste is a but too heavy and sticky to do it by hand using a wire whisk. For the same reason it may overload the motor of most hand mixers. If you try, be careful to not burn out the motor.

      It is possible to whip this paste on a stand mixer using the paddle attachment since those motors are sturdier.

    Rosh Bora taa mouri (Fennel seed) must. Without mouri traditional rosh bora recipe taa hoina.

      It would, and we do use it at home, but wet grinders are not very common here, and it is possible to make these just as well with a regular mixer grinder just as long as you beat the batter well.

    I have eaten so many south indian food.. this is only thing I came to know today...that medu wada is eaten by dipping into sugar syrup.!!! Same wada/bonda is sunk in Sambhar, Rasam and even sweetened curd. And I believe that's why we are Indians..😂😂😂
