I'm Italian and never heard someone in my life dislikes Mexico. The guy from the way he speaks, seems to refer to old movies with cowboys, where the Mexicans plays the "villain" against gringos (he actually learnt the word gringo from this movies). He have no idea about real Mexico. 😄
That’s true, Mexicans from the north and gringos from the south were always frenemies, most times enemies. But there were also good times like a horse race from each side of the border, a volleyball match where the net was the fence, and a concert. If you consider the northern regions of Italy the economy and health system are at the same level of germany or the uk, even better at times.

From the behind of the creation of the nation the south is poorer than the north, so the north has many immigrant from the south. As an Italian, nobody I know dislikes Spain, actually we all love spanish people! I've never heard any italian say they dislike any country unless for Germany, because we get a lot of german tourists and a lot of them are pretty rude to us (talking from my own and my friends' experience)

American culture was very popular until the 70s, so popular that Italian cinema is more famous than the American one for western films. Many songs and films were dedicated to this phenomenon. I'm Italian, and in my experience nobody ever talk about Mexico. Unless they have been there for holidays, or they are talking about drug dealing in general (mafia-cartels connections). And since is such a rare country to nominate, and the example he has done is true (even if should not be generalized on, and there is a long history behind that hate), I believe he has been in Mexico. In Italy nobody hates on Mexico for the sake of it, and if they do, they are quoting some John Wayne movie. Probably that guy went there and maybe had some bad experience, maybe a sad love story, bad work experience or some troubles with another person, so he said that, and he generalized on the only country he has ever been to. My mom went there in the 80's and told me sometimes, some people, called her "GRINGA DE MIERDA" in more than one occasion, but become more friendly when she said she was not american. Also, in the 70's/80's there was the myth, in Italy, of a nice life in Mexico. And the guy lived in those years for sure, so he probably tested it. So yeah, IMO the guy is not a liar. Maybe he generalize too much, or maybe Mexico has changed from 50 years ago.
Mexico is a beautiful country, it is my country and I love it so much, but like every country, the opinion of people in it differs depending on area, discipline, tradition, and other reasons too. There is many people in Mexico, especially in the borders, who despise American people a lot. There has been cartels that target American people just because they have more money. There is also many people that when they are around American people, they talk trash about them behind their backs in Spanish so that they wont understand. On the other hand, there is very accepting and kind people who make you feel at home. They will offer you food, gifts, and are very generous and do not let you do any work if you are a guest. I guess we can't really judge ANY country unless you go to every single city and state there is, but that is impossible, so everyone has their own opinion.

Im a Portuguese girl who spent one week living alone with an italian family I didnt know before in Milan. It was an amazing experience, althought it was just one week it really made me admire the Italian culture, the people were very nice, very warm, I felt like I was in my country. I feel like Italian culture is very similar to Portuguese. We both are insane drivers, we both have amazing beaches, sun and wine, and we both hate the french :'). I miss Italy almost every day!

I lived for 22 years outside of my country(Ukraine), went back when full invasion began. But during those years i lived for 12 in Italy and i can say with my hand on my heart that Italians are the most tolerant, loving and generally positive people in Europe, if not in the whole world. They speak the truth when they say "I don't have place for hate in my heart". All Italians care about is good food, football/soccer, reality shows, gossip, talking about jobs and internal politics and family affairs, but never ever heard i anyone from Campania or Veneto say they hate a particular country. Yes, Frenchies are universally disliked for their shitty attitude but that's on them.

As a German I have to say that I don't hate any country. The Italians are the kindest people I know. Of course there are exceptional cases everywhere. The past should remain history! That’s what I said, I visited Mexico and the people are very humble. But I guess, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I'm Italian, and in my experience nobody ever talk about Mexico. Unless they have been there for holidays, or they are talking about drug dealing in general (mafia-cartels connections).
And since is such a rare country to nominate, and the example he has done is true (even if should not be generalized on, and there is a long history behind that hate), I believe he has been in Mexico.
In Italy nobody hates on Mexico for the sake of it, and if they do, they are quoting some John Wayne movie.
Probably that guy went there and maybe had some bad experience, maybe a sad love story, bad work experience or some troubles with another person, so he said that, and he generalized on the only country he has ever been to.
My mom went there in the 80's and told me sometimes, some people, called her "GRINGA DE MIERDA" in more than one occasion, but become more friendly when she said she was not american.
Also, in the 70's/80's there was the myth, in Italy, of a nice life in Mexico. And the guy lived in those years for sure, so he probably tested it.
So yeah, IMO the guy is not a liar. Maybe he generalize too much, or maybe Mexico has changed from 50 years ago.
Mexico is a beautiful country, it is my country and I love it so much, but like every country, the opinion of people in it differs depending on area, discipline, tradition, and other reasons too. There is many people in Mexico, especially in the borders, who despise American people a lot. There has been cartels that target American people just because they have more money. There is also many people that when they are around American people, they talk trash about them behind their backs in Spanish so that they wont understand. On the other hand, there is very accepting and kind people who make you feel at home. They will offer you food, gifts, and are very generous and do not let you do any work if you are a guest. I guess we can't really judge ANY country unless you go to every single city and state there is, but that is impossible, so everyone has their own opinion.

Im a Portuguese girl who spent one week living alone with an italian family I didnt know before in Milan. It was an amazing experience, althought it was just one week it really made me admire the Italian culture, the people were very nice, very warm, I felt like I was in my country. I feel like Italian culture is very similar to Portuguese. We both are insane drivers, we both have amazing beaches, sun and wine, and we both hate the french :').
I miss Italy almost every day!

I lived for 22 years outside of my country(Ukraine), went back when full invasion began. But during those years i lived for 12 in Italy and i can say with my hand on my heart that Italians are the most tolerant, loving and generally positive people in Europe, if not in the whole world. They speak the truth when they say "I don't have place for hate in my heart". All Italians care about is good food, football/soccer, reality shows, gossip, talking about jobs and internal politics and family affairs, but never ever heard i anyone from Campania or Veneto say they hate a particular country. Yes, Frenchies are universally disliked for their shitty attitude but that's on them.

Some of them had a certain style and that style became adopted in the US at times, depending on the artistic vision of it's directors. Mostly just called Westerns in the US. As a German I have to say that I don't hate any country. The Italians are the kindest people I know. Of course there are exceptional cases everywhere. The past should remain history! I can understand that many Germans don't like us because we come across as serious, but if you break through with us then we are as happy as others! stay healthy.
