- Hi sweet Fam! I am back with a new vloggy vlog.
In this vlog, I shared days in my life living alone in Nigeria as an introvert.
This vlog started on a Friday and ended on a Sunday. I did some cleaning to prep for the weekend & I wrapped it up by making a meal I’ve been craving which is Beef Jollof Rice. :)
I also seem to have adjusted properly to the power outage situation lately.
I won’t lie, it’s almost posting time & anxiety is trying to kick in but guess what? I’m posting this regardless. :)

I’m African American and this is so interesting to see. Not many popular African vlogger (other than the ones that moved to America) so we can’t really see slow living in Afro countries. This is my first time seeing a Nigerian in Nigeria vlog. I’ve eaten Nigerian food before but it’s fun to see it made in every day life . Please continue showing your beautiful country 😊❤ (I low key want to move now 😂)
Just so you know not all Africans in african countries are "slow living". Not everyone in Africa is poor and african countries are different in terms of developments. Just like how in America there is lavish cities like LA and ghetto ones like Detroit, the same applies to African countries.

I follow so many people around the world and it's always good to know that we all want the same. Just living our lives in peace. While news are only filled with so much negative information from around the world, I love to see just us normal, honest, hard working people moving on. 🙂Congratulations on 50.000 subscribers. 💐 I have a question though. How do the supermarkets keep their goods cool when the power goes off so many times a day? I guess they have their own power. I do love eggs too. I recently learned how to make perfect poached eggs and they are my favourite atm. 🤤
The supermarkets use diesel powered generators.

Watching your videos makes me appreciate what I take for granted here in US, e.g., consistent electricity and clean water.
I was thinking the same!! As much as I try to remember to be grateful it's easy to take things for granted without realizing. I also couldn't imagine living in that heat without a\c. Another thing I take for granted when many ppl around the world n even in the U.S see that as a luxury !
In my case, I’ll say having unrestricted access to clean water. Back at home in my parent’s place & even during my undergraduate days, I didn’t realize so much until I moved here😄. Now I don’t joke with having unrestricted access clean water anytime I’m home!❤🥺

For the jollof, add some butter at the end, allowing it to melt fully before you put off the cooker, then stir it into the rice thoroughly for extra flavour and some grease in the rice.

Even though French toast is sweet (always add lots of cinnamon!) my favourite topping is actually cheese! A slice of Gouda is my fave ❤
Also a tip if you ever make it with regular sliced bread; cut the crusts off BUT don’t throw them out, dip them in the egg mixture too and after frying sprinkle with sugar and some more cinnamon for French toast fries!

Hi, Mo. Always good to see one of your vlogs (it also reduces our anxiety if we haven't seen or heard anything from you for a while). It was lucky I'd already eaten bcoz the first few images in your intro were about food. Btw, my favourite thing to go with french toast is... more french toast 😅 I was shocked that the power didn't resume until about 9pm. Having to do laundry & cooking so late at night would have me swearing up a storm, yet you seem so 'chill' about it all. Thanks for sharing 👍

Funny thing was I had planned to film an evening routine of some of the things I get done when power is restored in the evening, & boom that week the power situation changed again😂. Being chill with it is the best way to handle it cos it can be quite frustrating to be fair.
