What a terrific scene. Phoebe comes alive with a “man” who isn’t afraid to call her on her own bad behavior, and she hates the simp whose only purpose in life is to try and make her happy.
    Really deep observation, Shakespeare.

This was wonderful! Phebe’s character seemed a bit confused as to if she were angry or in love with Ganymede. But seeing this did wonders. Much love for the theatre community ❤️

LOL, you know that Phoebe isn’t in love with a woman, from her perspective, but a man who has no problem putting her in her place?
“Sweet youth, I pray you chide a year together.
I had rather hear you chide than this man woo.”
It’s not man vs. woman, it’s simp vs. someone who knows what he wants.
