Fantastic video Sim! Man I'm sure looking forward to maps with proper trees in the forests 🤣 In Riverbend you're more likely to need a wheelbarrow and some gardening tools than a forestry machine to get through some of the thiccets!

I normally wasn’t a fan of these type maps but the way he’s finished it off and landscaped it still looks quite real so to speak will definitely give this a go

It was cheaper but giants told me to adjust prices. Perhaps a future similar but more interesting geology could be done with farmlands which follow the landscape 🤞🏻

Looking good, well done 👍🏼 I wonder if the procedure could be adapted to create variants like semi desert areas, or verdant coastal areas, even better would be vegetation and landmarks based on real locations (lot of work there I’m thinking) but I’m also thinking with the leapfrog advancement in AI generated images, models textures etc this might not be too far off happening.
It’s easy to create different maps based on DEMs from real life locations so definitely. The AI stuff I don’t think is quite ready but definitely loads of potential there for sure in the very near future
Hi buddy! Have you had any issues with the T248 wheel and pedals in FS25? My wheel is working, but I cant set my pedals to accelerate and brake, they dont register when I try to manually keybind them. Very disappointing, was looking forward to getting started 😢

You can do just about anything you can put your mind to in Houdini. :) First you'd want to get a good heightmap. I can't tell where to get one as it's very dependant on what area of the world and what available sources there are. I focus on Norway as that's where I live, and the data is public domain, thus freely accessible. Then I use QGIS to gather Google Earth or similar orthophoto, and convert the heightmap to GeoTIFF. In the end I bring the GeoTIFF into Houdini for further conversion and work. :)
CONTRACTOR MOD --- It appeared in FS19, but not in 22 and not here yet. What I really liked about it is that you could add from 1 to 6 workers and you would tab between them instead of the vehicles. That's what I really liked, just going from person to person, instead of vehicle to vehicle, a pain if you had a lot of vehicles. I added my wife and 2 friends and the four of us tended a farm. Would like to see it in FS25. Would also like to walk into farmhouses and drink some coffee, Any farmhouses with coffee makers? 💯
I don't mind these types of maps to play on but as I play on console I think I'll wait till the plow by blacksheep modding is out and the tree devourer is out .I can see Console will be restricted as it was on fs22

Houdini would be great if it had a monthly payment plan mapping would be so much less time consuming. Totally understandable that people don’t want to throw £200 at it though . Nice map but im a UK map guy. Roll on calmsden 🎉
Monthly plans are available for studios, but that's also far more expensive. Houdini Indie is the way to go for a fully featured tool with no limits, where you sub per year. I tend to talk about Houdini as a hobby. And hardly any hobby is completely free. Some like skiing, some like skydiving, some play golf.. I make maps :)
@ yeah seems a good piece of software. So glad giants are starting to make better features. This road stuff and field creation is such a gamechanger for us modders who are miserable and prefer free stuff 😅
Hey fsg remember a while back I was talking about an idea I pitched about a multiplayer map where people had full time jobs (for those who don’t know the background someone can own a logical business and farmers ordering new equipment would have to book through them for delivery from the dealership owned by a player which could take up to a week depending on people’s personal schedule thus making it as realistic as real life we would need to work out a financial system but fsg got the contacts you can be a butcher a baker a candle stick maker full time in fs 25 )is this still an option for you in fs25? I bought FS 25 I was very skeptical, but it is fantastic so far I play on Very High because Ultra was a little stutter, but my hardware build is from 2018, so yeah, it is still amazing. Yes, a few fixes will improve the game furthermore ppl complaining about the little machines, etc well for me that works otherwise its overwhelming modders will add more and more machines, etc., and your fs 25 simdashboard is fantastic
I was just looking fo no mans land. Counldn find it so dowanloaded another free empty map. It has a background. But the shop point is set in the sky so everything you buy falls very quickly to the ground and clips inside the ground.

64 acres for $300k, land is cheap for that size. For the same price you’re only getting a tenth of that in Riverbend Springs.

Love it. Can’t wait for it to be released. Would have preferred for the properties to be subdivided smaller. 300k+ for a zero star is a lot.

I don't think you realize what all you can do on console. My no man's land whole map builds suprise most.
Need 16-32x maps. The maps that are out now are way too small for the large equipment in the game. This map looks really good.
And here im thinking the equipment is too small lol tired of these baby plows and mowers

At the moment the base game maps are 2km x 2kms but expect to see some bigger ones
