The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season. Every day, from now until Christmas, we will post videos of the recipients being surprised with these life-changing gifts.
Kodi has struggled with many medical mystery health issues for the past seven years. Earlier this year she was fainting at the slightest bit of physical exertion. She’s been to many doctors and has just found one that can hopefully put her on the road of recovery but the treatments are very expensive.
Kodi is a mom of two wonderful kids. She always looks for opportunities to serve others. Her husband works as a police officer and risks his life every day to provide for his family.
They’re also currently remodeling their house and still have a lot of work to do but have had to stop everything because of all the other bills that have piled up. They’re working hard to make ends meet and always keep a positive attitude.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Kodi a visit and bring an early Christmas gift. She was definitely surprised! Watch the video in the player above.

I gave someone $100 once, out of the blue, because he was sitting in a doorway and I went and asked if he was okay, and he looked hungry. Watching him then sprint to the nearby grocery store was an amazing thing :) Even small amounts can make a huge difference to someone.

I don't even live in the US, but I look forward to these videos every year! It's sad that there isn't more of this happening. With all of the huge companies and wealthy people, there could be so many people helped. They should make a movie about this - it might help to make these people think about the true meaning of Christmas and open up their wallets.

I hope her medical issues aren’t chronic, so she can get back into great health and their family can have a comfortable home to live in. Some of these stories the recipients don’t seem thankful enough. I never make a negative comment as I’m sure they might possibly just be in shock. So it’s fine. And those folks were selected for a reason. So, no judgement. All I’m saying is, as a viewer of these vids, it’s always nice to see when a recipient is so strongly impacted. ❤️

I've been watching this RUclips channel for a number of years now, and I don't know why you people think you can assume that I need to go through this annual ritual of flushing my tear ducts for two months. I don’t think that’s what you really mean. Humans are the only known species to produce emotional tears. “Crocodile tears” refers to a person’s phony display of emotion and comes from a tendency of crocodiles to release tears as they eat. The more you know.

I love when Nate asks the recipient to call their partner and listening to their reaction is such an added bonus. I think Kodi’s husband was more stunned than Kodi, it was so lovely listening to Kodi and Nate convince him it was real. I too wake up each morning during Secret Santa Season looking forward to watching the daily video from EIN. I also read the comments sent from around the world about what SS Season means to so many people and messages of love that are sent to the people that received these blessings. The comments make me just as teary eyed as the videos do. Then I wondered what it was like for people like Kodi and her husband when they read the comments. I realized that they will be blessed all over again realizing that people from around the entire world are pulling for them, caring about them and sending them their love. What a wonderful program this is. Everyone involved from SS, EIN, the recipients to us the watchers/readers receive goodness and love. Other than my kids on Christmas morning, this is my fav part of Christmas.
This one touched me the most. I can relate with this lady. My husband and I are struggling with 5 beautiful blessings. He works 2 jobs. Looking at getting a 3rd, so that we can just survive and so that I'm able to stay home with our children. I've applied for a job myself, but haven't heard anything. Our house is in need of a lot of repair, but with our current financial situation, there's no way that we can even tackle it. It makes my heart glad to see people like this be blessed. It blesses me🥰
