Oh my god. I’m actually stunned by that first clip. How in the world did he get one shot by the mind controlled warrior? Literally nothing he could do. Dead within a second.
I was the warr. I was uhm, way too geared compared to them, SGC, Untamed Blade, like, Raid geared and then some. The pet taunt barely saved our tank (at first). I was mid swing when it taunted me. Also Takkar was like, 56 re leveling...

Those disconnects, are the lone reason why I refuse to spend my valuable time playing hardcore. Blizzard's infrastructure is stuck in 2004

DC's are why I don't play on Hardcore anymore. Lost both my guys to a DC and that was it for me, lol. First one was only level 14, so I didn't mind that too much. Not really much progress lost. Second guy was level 34, so that stung a bit more. Felt undeserved and I didn't have the heart to continue. HC players are made of different stuff than my casual ass can handle, lol. It's not that hard, but losing to a DC feels very crushing, because there's nothing you can prep for that.
Man, I really feel for the first guy. Losing your hardcore char through disconnecting issues must be heartbreaking.

People are saying it was because an SoD update bugged that rum buff he has, which makes sense since it stopped DCing after he died and lost the buff. Bummer man 54

@@kayros9823 Nope. Nobody gets their character back ever. It's kind of a steep standard, but probably overall is better this way. Or else there would be a meta of character recovery.

Thank you for the video, but it is kind of sad to see, how common the use of petri is atm. DC's are deadlier than the actual content, as everyone in sticky situations in dungeons petris out of danger.
I keep trying to figure it out to no avail. Why did the elementals in BRD pull when they engaged the boss? Usually it's because of a totem or forgotten hunter trap, but not this time.
Was it not because of a totem? They have a shaman in their group, so I assumed it was.

No it was the Rumsey Rum Stamina buff. This has been a bug, since latest sod patch or something. Happens in AQ20, STV, and some in ZG.

the third clip, that healer is garb, literally had the divine keybound and took like 5 seconds to click it
The second death is 100% malicious, either he's gotten hacked or he's account sharing. The DC's are "Someone else logged in" type DC's where you're instantly disconnected and is able to instantly log back in.
The reason this feels the most reasonable is : The DC's start the second he pulls and ends once he's dead. It almost feels staged.
definitely feels very weird, but doesn't it say "this account was logged in from somewhere else" instead of "you have been disconnected" if someone else logs in?
@@ClassicHardcoreMoments No, you're 100% correct. Still, this feels malicious in some way. Blizzard doesn't have a perfect 20 seconds of constant DC's for 1 player, to then immediately stop after they're dead. Feels super sus overall.
@@Nesque It's the stamina buff he had on. It's known to cause DC issues for some reason.
@@hersheyquestlol yeah what @hersheyquestlol says. Xaryu has a short explaining it. It's the "rumsey rum black label" buff which is known to cause your character to DC. I think due to the screen blur and staggering effect being 'drunk' has on your character, which you can actually turn off with (/console ffxglow 0) apparently but never tested this myself
@@hersheyquestlol what the guy above me said, wow is a mess code wise for lighting/effects/terrain mapping. step on a slightly weird coded section of ground and youll dc, lighting effect with a messed up value? crash when the light shows up, crash when the effects or lighting hits terrain at a weird angle , indie dev team, surely once the games over a couple decades old itll be fixed right? right???

The priest at 3:00 is the reason i am healing myself. he is to stupid to play his class/roll right, so he deals dmg. there was no petri needed. just one click on your spell to lose some threat. Also no threat meter and Decursive is at the other side of the moon :D

Actually, I don't think it was an addon issue. There's a known issue with Rumsey Rum Black Label buff (which he had on) and having visual screen effects all turned on.
@@WingTzu343 I know about the Rum, but I didn't not know you could counteract it by reducing screen effects.

HC mode is so dumb... Whats the point in being in risk pf losing hundreds of hours of farming, gearing, etc?
You just said it all. It is the risk that makes it fun. You have to play pretty much perfect and keep a high level of focus to succeed . Not for the smooth brains for sure .
I dont like it, games are made to be fun, not stressful. I would be so pissed off if i have died in HC after all the hours put into leveling for nothing...

First of all, it’s a mode for people who like a challenge and secondly if you do die in HC, you’re giving an option to transfer your character to a classic era server for free. So do some research before making idiotic claims…
What I see 99% of the time are simply bad players. Shouting will not help these people to achieve anything. They should play WoW normally, that's all they're good for.

If they "banned" Petri, or whatever, and if people found another way to survive bad pulls or mistakes they would cry about that too.
How about you start a guild and you play that way.
HC is about using whatever the game provides to survive. Petri has always been there.

the whole point of hardcore is to have a hardcore run instead of playing with 0 repercussions when you die, petri's remove 90% of the difficulty because you can alt f4 in any challenging situation
@@eff0rtless ironically i would actually be much more likely to raid hc if petri's werent a thing, cause it'd be true hardcore and getting 60/raiding would actually have some prestige to it(similar to how vanilla wow was 20 years ago). seeing clips of people petri'ing on lvl 40 quests and 5 man dungeons is just cringe and you know it
