The mistake is never made with male VCs - they are ALWAYS referred to by their titles. It is always "Prof" or "Dr". Never just "Puleng LenkaBula", this sort of thing is incredibly unfortunate and regrettable. Ziyanda is a strong journalist but she must really do better. Also, there's one question that journalists always neglect to ask leaders of public institutions and public/government officials - this interview would have been enhanced had Ziyanda asked Prof LenkaBula if, with the benefit of hindsight, she (in her own analysis) feels that there is anything that she is personally responsible for, or if there is anything that she insists she could have done differently. Missed opportunity, alas.
This lady is came with a clear mandate. SA journalists have been made weapons of character assassination. They work on freelance basis and the only important this is to secure their job
This is a smear campaign against her... Tawana Kupe is not getting the same attention I mean this guy is alleged to be guilty of sexual harassment at UP and Wits...
We shall overcome some day. Unisa is too important to fail. We must defend and protect it by all means necessary whilst criticizing it constructively. The selecting reporting of journalists must also be condemned in the strongest sense.
Unisa has improved since Prof Lenkabula headed the university, comrades wants to eat and she stopped that, now they sabotaging her, like Pro Kgethi uct did her dirt , being a women in leadership is tough.. 😢
100% and it seems like the VC position needs someone with a strong personality & Prof Lenkuba is a perfect fit. I foresee her being removed for being excellent. This Professor is excellent! She’s shaking things up and people are uncomfortable. They are trying to push the narrative that an institution that is dominantly black especially in management is a recipe for disaster and I’m so happy she’s speaking up & defending herself now before they chase her out.
I am a UNISA student, since my degree and since Prof Puleng LenkaBula has been vice we now receive monthly data that we were supposed to get since COVID started, she has done quite a lot the problem is with the Administration team they are negligent at their jobs. Prof Puleng is doing good they should have reported that too!
It was a mess! She’s doing a good job. What they aren’t doing is giving her credit for the progress. What were they expecting? A drastic change all at once? It took years to almost collapse the institution, it’s going to take years to undo that mess and she’s doing a clean job they hate it!
U have such a number to unmarked students assignments bcz you want markers to have a PhD or masters to mark abo true or false....mxm, i thought unisa was gonna improve after the mess of Mondli Makhanya....
Early this year I approached the HOD of Procedural Law at Unisa, Prof Saurombe, about marking assignments only to be told to complete my LLM first, whereas there are lecturers with only LLBs.
The requirement for markers to have Masters and PhD should give you an assurance that Unisa is striving for best standards of Academic Intergrity. If you listen more clearly Prof indicates that the person responsible for assessments has been suspended that clearly shows that the University condems whatever is happening and is taking action to rectify it's shortfalls. Furthermore we must never forget that most scripts were corrupted by the system and that delayed the marking process. Yes, there are challenges but some progress has been made and more can be done
@@napoglabane8750what about the students whose scripts aren't marked in the midst of "striving for the best". People's lives are dependent on those results. Some people cant afford to register again and again. It's like this whole thing of writing online examination because of whatever reasons (allegedly one of the reasons is to ensure that students abroad don't feel excluded) I mean really? Here in SA we are currently facing loadshedding poor students cannot afford generators? Unisa admin controls are weak I wish they could deal with that before implementing all these systems that Make things more difficult for them and the students...and I'm saying things are difficult for them because results are being released months after writing tests, they not solving dp cases, lecturers are attending these dp meetings that time could be used to give lectures, even lecturers find the invigilator system complicated. Someone representing the students and lecturers could be given a platform to actually speak about the reality ko Unisa.
I really don't understand why people fail to just do what they were employed to do 😢 Once they get appointed, service levels go down the drain and they always manage to get caught up in politics and power battles!
"You are reducing my leadership to curtains" - Prof P LenkaBula

You are mistaken. Her name is Puleng Lenkabula there is nothing wrong with that. Why are you the one who is worried.

Are you a student of unisa?
@@sandilehlophe4535 I was. I dropped out due to unavailable lecturers for academic support.
Prof LenkaBula you're trying to make a holistically change of which is unccessary
Prof. Lenka Bula i believe that under your leadership is UNISA is gonna be better than it is now
I've heard enough.I support the VC and the university.
If you don't apply yourself justice doesn't get done. 👌👌👌 as you say let's speak with facts not hear say☝️

The University was a mess before her position, blame shouldn't be placed on her.
