Hi everyone it's Sweel, just a reminder as we start Korra that Kat & Sonny read the comments and so we want to avoid skewing their expectations unnecessarily. I know it's common on Korra reactions to post "warnings" about the show or its characters, but Kat & Sonny will watch through all the show and make their own opinion as time goes on. Please keep your comments about present and past episodes only, nothing about the future, or expectations, or anything of that nature. Comments such as encouragements and excitement about starting a new show are fine. For this video I am sorry if I have deleted your comment, some people made long comments that I decided to remove only because of a sentence or two within it. I know that's not cool so please understand and remember those guidelines for future comments. Thank you
Kat is a sharp one. Careful Kat, you could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battleship, leaving thousands to drown at sea... Because your wits are so sharp.
I like that Korra is your "guide" to this new world not only because she is the protagonist but also because she, like us, is new to this world, the big city, the new politics and social structure. So we get to discover this new world together with her, which I thought it was a nice choice by the writers. Im sure that you guys will love this show too ^^
Just one thing to keep in mind. She is literally a 16 year old girl that has been training in a fairly secluded environment from the time she was a tiny girl.
YAY! Can't wait to see how you guys take this show! And beautifully put, Korra is very much 'becoming a person' in this series because she's still a teenager. Another way i've seen it put (well) is "Aang is a pacifist who has to end a war and Korra is a fighter who has to keep the peace."
Both yes and no. All the Avatars are essentially reincarnations. Which means that they are their own person, and yet a continuation. They are all one, and they are also many. That's what a reincarnation means. Once upon a time she was Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, etc. Now, she is Korra. She is them. She is also herself. That's basically how reincarnation is supposed to work.
@@realkrishna01 I believe everyone in that universe is reincarnated. The avatar thing is that you know who is a part of you through all your lives. Without that, there's no way others would know about their connections to previous lives
It doesn't matter how many time I watch this show, the very beginning with Tenzin saying that Aang's time has come to end... It always chokes me up. It's so bittersweet and very true to life, time passes and another Avatar must take up the mantle to help keep the balance. But knowing he is gone kind of breaks my heart. Even though it's not real. Love that you two are watching this, it's going to be fun to see how you both react to it and like it. Thanks.
Aw man I am so excited for this! Legend of Korra is such a good show if it's given a proper chance! Also, not sure if it was already mentioned, but Tenzin was essentially named after Monk Gyatso, so yeah, Kya after Sokka and Katara's mother, Bumi obviously after Bumi, and Tenzin after the man that was basically Aangs father figure. It... gives a lot of emotions.
Ethical themes like the nonsense In season 2 or what lol. Lok is a good show despite it's flaws but it didn't make me feel anything for most of the characters in the show.
