They will stop you, arrest you, search and impound your car. Put you in holding for 2 days, keep your car impounded for a month and make you BEG in court then give you a steep fine. Bottom line, they will make you miserable. And yes, it's a felony. Basically just don't do it. I'm talking from experience, luckily I begged at the scene and they made me uninstall the lights right there and then. They had already called the impound truck. Luckily I was a law abiding young student no record at all.
Ok i got one of these in amber and white and it was litterally the worst dash light on plannet earth. The Xprite for the same price was phenomenal! I highly reccoment upgrading.
I got the amber and white and I'm still afraid I'll get noticed and hurasted about it, and it's in a actual ex state police car which makes it even worst.
Emergency. To scare criminals. What if you're in the middle of nowhere and some gangs block your path mess with you and your girl. Turn that thing on and they're out. of what if a road rager is messing with you on the road and putting your in danger. Turn that thing on too.
@@mastersplinter5966 Impersonation of a Police Officer is a crime in itself. If everybody went around pretending to be police officers then how would anybody know if they were being approached by a genuine one?
Well there are some countries that have "softer" rules. In Czechia you can get up to a 100€ (but usually 60€) fine. Nothing else. So yea whenever I see blue/red light I always check if the person is in uniform.
Totally agree, although I did hang a lightbar in my room to use as an alarm. No way to sleep through that thing 😎. Installing red and blues in a vehicle is just plain stupid.
If law enforcement catches you this one borders between high class misdemeanor and low grade felony.

I have way more elaborate strobe lights than that but I don't take them on the street. Law enforcement can't do a damn thing about it.
