Just what I needed, thanks very much. But then I'd like to mention something I read from a text book that affects the discharge of most anions, particularly halides. It is known as Overvoltage. Together with the high concentration of the Chloride ions, it also accounts for the discharge of Chlorine at the anode instead of hydroxide ions during the electrolysis of cocerntrated NaCl. Thanks once more.
In the second factor, though sodium ions are high in the solution, still H+ ions will get discharged since theres vast difference between the discharge potential of H+ ions and Na+ ions. Thus the high sodium ions will not be enough to overcome the discharge potential of H+ ions.

@@aayushbhardwaj6735 I mean, Even though the ion with high concentration in the solution is supposed to get discharged compared to one with low concentration, but if Na and H ions happen to compete based on their concentration in the solution, then even if Na ion concentration is high, H ion will still win and get discharged becoz the distance between H ion and Na ions are very high in the electrochemical series and H ion has more advantage of winning over Na ion. So therefore, in cases involving ions with vast distance, we also have to consider the distance between the position in the electrochemical series and not just go by the concentration of ions in the solution. Should look at both. Sorry, cant explain any simpler than this. Hope you understood. Cheers! 😊
