(waves at cat) Hi Oliver! Even cats like these huge bars! 😸 I would LOVE to add an RCM 100oz bar to my stack but I'm on a budget. Largest size I bought was a Kilo size back when silver was under $18/oz. Dunno how I'm gonna get a 100oz bar with spot prices on the rise. Maybe some day.
I'd like to believe we will get a dip in silver at some point and that will make buying easier. Most of the 100 ounce bars on the table had been purchased when silver was 17-19 an ounce range and the premiums where cheaper then as well. The 100 ounce bar is at that price level where you have to decide between stacking a full ounce gold coin or the 100 ounce bar. So, many stack gold instead of buying a large silver bar. Kilos are great to stack as well and more affordable. Ollie still video bombs me when I'm shooting a video. He thinks I'm talking to him, lol!
Enjoyed this video. Have recently started stacking some silver after focusing on gold for some time. Recently bought a 100 RCM bar and I really like it. Next purchase (awaiting delivery) was 10x10oz. Britannia bars as I want to compare the 10 bars to 100 bars for purposes of adding ounces quickly at a low premium. I’m not into the whole SHTF concept of needing a lot of small silver around. I look at silver as just another investment but I do really like the physical ownership aspect. So, big bars do seem to fit my buying profile but I too am concerned about liquidity in the case of a big jump in price or some kind of financial dislocation. The 10 bars came at a slightly higher premium than the 100’s but the liquidity might make it worth it. Thanks for your video.
The Britannia bars are nice- great quality bar to stack! The 10 ounce bars are the most liquid, imo. Both dealers and private buyers scoop up 10 ounce bars quite easily. The 100 ounce bars meet resistance in the private market but still sell well to your LCS. Often times a private buyer will consider stacking an ounce of gold over the 100 silver bar. I still have all my 100 ounce bars in my stack but these days I buy (10) 10 ounce bars if I want to add 100 ounces to the stack.
Thank you Mr. Main Event! The key word you used is "yet"- I'm sure a 100 ouncer will find it's way into your stack at some point. Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting- that's always appreciated!
Oh man I love those on display like that! Great comment-love the stacking information! If you stack the 100oz Britannia bar vs a US or Canadian bar do you save the 20% tax? Or is this just Britannia coinage for that to work? The differences in stacking around the world is really intriguing. Thanks for watching Silver Saurus!

100 ounce bars are just to add some serious weight to the stack at the lowest premium possible. They do have a liquidity issue in the sense that you would need to sell or trade 100 ounces at a time. If you are in the market for 100 ounces- you could just simply purchase 100 one ounce silver rounds and that will help with the SHTF scenario. I stacked those bars because I'm less concerned with SHTF and more concerned with inflation issues. The demand for silver is increasing- right now it's pretty easy to move these bars if needed.

You are smart to factor in the resale of the silver you buy. Many stackers don't figure in an exit strategy, so it's great you have. 100 ounce aren't always the best silver depending on your own situation.
We are taxed 20% on silver then there's the premium,s on top so waste of money ,here in Scotland, but no tax on gold so it's gold all the way 👍
If I where taxed 20% on silver...I'd stack gold as well! Thank you for checking out the silvers bars Shaun, much appreciated.

Thank you for checking out the video!
Ounce I get into bars that big, I rather buy Gold. Such as a Buffalo.
I hear you Scrapper! I think the same way as you these days and have been adding full ounce gold instead of 100 bars. Still accumulating silver but smaller bars and rounds. Thanks for checking out the video, much appreciated! I've been able to keep Oliver away from my silver lately, he hasn't made it on RUclips in awhile, lol!
Kilo is as big ad I go.
Kilo's are a great size bar to stack 👍😊
If you stack hundreds of these, no thieves will be able to steal them. They will need at least a fork lift!
LOL! Right on David- if the safe is too heavy to lift then your stacking the right way! 👍👍
Clout
Clout works, I can see that. Not a lot of stackers achieve purchasing 100 ounces of silver at a time. As of late, I have been focused on the 10 ounce and kilo sizes bars. There are only so many 100 ounce bars a stacker needs🤣
People who stack silver are literally just to poor to stack gold...
I have pretty close to 100 ounces in gold and I stack a lot of silver. You can go back in the vids and see much of my gold stack. I will say stacking large amounts of silver causes a heck of a space issue and gold packs more value in a much smaller item.
