That absorbency test is misleading. Tampons absorb water differently than blood. And most people loose 30-40 milliliters over the course of an entire period, so there is no need for one tampon to hold that much.
I love o.b. 🙂 They slide in so easily because of their silky surface, they open up in a perfect cylindrical shape and they don't make fluffs. Quite expensive but I think they're worth it. I guess the differences in absorption rates are due to different sizes you used in the video. Some tampons were much bigger than others. Hard to compare.

Within a week you should be able to take it in and out just fine. I, personally, really prefer mentrual cups and can only recommend them!

Seriously just get a menstrual cup! I got mine for 13 dollars on amazon and it’s a LIFE SAVER!!! I don’t have to buy/ pay for anything monthly, deal with stinky trash or the fear of TSS. You don’t have to empty them as frequently as a tampon and I have yet to experience any leakage or discomfort. They’re made of silicone so no chemicals leaching into your body. I keep mine in my purse and when I need to use it, I don’t have to deal with the embarrassment of crinkling it out of a wrapper. I also really like that I’m putting way less trash into the landfills. I honestly wish I had heard of menstrual cups earlier because they make periods so much less of a hassle.

When you put the playtex in the wine glass of water that was to much for it to handle because it is not made for that our period comes slow we that putting them directly into the water. The josays barley leave cottons because everything is all compacted together and could be made with non organic stuff
My cervix sits so low while on my period I don’t know how well a cup would work, I’m thinking of getting organic tampons but I go through them so often because of bad absorption and them starting to stick out due to my low cervix that I don’t know if I could afford it. I only use Tampax pearl, never anything else.

Diva cup, you don't have a risk of Toxic shock syndrome, it's made of silicone, can be sanitized, and worn for 12 hours. I've used it for about two years and even switched back to pads and tampons. I had so much mess when I switched. The amount of blood down my legs and underwear ruined was obnoxious. Back to my diva cup. I regret not buying one Sooner.

You can also look into menstrual cups. They're amazing once you find one that works for you. I took a quiz online that recommended a few different brands and sizes to me so I didn't have to hope for the best and do trial and error a million times

No one makes a tampon that doesn't burn. What does "chemical leftover" even mean? EVERYTHING is a chemical (except empty space and subatomic particles). Beaker liquid test isn't nearly as indicative as syngyna for leakage/absorbption. Tampons are constantly being squeezed, with the string downwards, and the liquid must be absorbed via capillary action, which cotton is not best at. Tampons are also rated by absorbency categories because you're only supposed to wear them for 4-8 hours and not over or under saturate them. And holy shit did you use a cellulose solvent for the 3rd example, but water for your cotton tampons?Viscose doesn't dissolve like that in water, and the two liquids refract light differently. That's not even close to what the term viscosity means!
